It had been so long since I had been trapped in here. 23 days, 19 hours, 45 minutes. It was just a rough estimate. Might be more, might be less. No food or water, no machete, no magic powers. Nothing. If I were mortal, I would've died days ago. The only light source was a crack in the ceiling where some sunlight streamed through.

However, I had put these days to good use. There were 13 variants in total, at least that I knew of. They passed my cell regularly, jeering and mocking me. They tortured me, demanded me to tell them who I had been working with. I provided no answer. I wouldn't provide them any answer. I couldn't give them any answer. I had already hurt Loki enough. During around noon, every single one of them would be in the dining room, and I could get a clear escape. I had found a passage, hidden by a brick. Where it led to I had no idea. Only way to find out was through that hole in the wall.

Most of the time, I was "sleeping". Which was laying on the ground, back facing them but I was observing all the same. Today was the day I got out from this hellhole. Today was the day the pain would stop.

Today was the day I was going to apologize to Loki. It didn't matter whether he would hear it or not, but I needed to.

I looked up at the crack, waiting for the sun to shine directly overhead. I remembered a line from Thor's favorite book. Well, it was the only book he had read so it wasn't saying much. "I assure you, sister, the sun will shine on us again." The girl had said to her sister before she went off to battle. It was a simple sentence, yet Thor loved it, as it "brought light and hope". How I wished to have light and hope right now. I missed her, I missed Thor.

The loud tolling of the lunch bell reverberated through the walls. It was time. I looked around quickly, then moved the brick out of the way, crawling though the hole. Goodbye, assholes. I thought snarkily as I moved the brick back into place.

The passage was musty. and I even had to slide through some spaces because it was too narrow. No looking back now, I thought, scrunching my nose in disgust at the cobwebs that littered the ceiling. I rapped my knuckles on the walls, searching for another passage. I found a few new pasages, changed routes, trying to navigate, although it was extremely hard. All I could do was trust my magic and my gut.

Soon enough, I heard voices coming from below. I must be somewhere near the ceiling. I caught a bit of conversation. I think I was above the dining room. I put my ear to the floor, listening intently. Thank Yggdrasil for Asgardian hearing.

"... should we do with the variant? She refuses to provide answers, and the multiverse has been unleashed, we can't find answers ourselves." My eyes widened. They were talking about me. "I say we kill her already! She has been here for so long, yet provided no answers. She isn't helping!" One of them exclaimed angrily. I winced. I would prefer to be alive, thank you very much.

"She's a valuable asset! She is the first of the Lokis to learn enchantment, and she was on the run for a long time, which allowed her to posses slightly better fighting skills than her variants. If we killed her, it would be a waste of... talent," Another one argued. "Yet Lokis always manage to mess up our plans. Did you forget why we lost in the first place? Did you forget?" Variant one yelled. Murmurs of agreement came from other variants.

"Silence!" One of them roared as a heard crashing. He must've slammed his hand on the table. A hush of silence came. What were they going to do to me? I was terrified. "The Loki variants were the reason we lost the first time. We will not repeat the same mistake," He said. Murmurs came from the variants. Another crash. "Silence!" He screeched again. Everyone shut up.

"However, it is undeniable that they are indeed valuable. Who's to say she can even resist it? All of you here know that it is the best way. We can utilize her talents, and she won't turn against us," He continued. I furrowed my brows. What was he talking about?

"Sir, if I may," A new voice started. The previous variant grunted in response. "Go on." "If she is placed at the station, I believe it would be a waste of talent. She can go out into the field and lure whoever else is responsible back here. Then we could truly put her talent to good use, and all we have to do is wait," He said. I was starting to panic. What were they going to do to me?

Whispers and murmurs came from the crowd. "Splendid idea," The head variant finally said. My breath hitched. "Fetch her from her cell. We begin now," He ordered. There was a chorus of "Yes sire"s as I heard the sound of the door being opened and closed in a hurry. I cursed under my breath and started crawling as fast as I could. I frantically rapped my knuckles against the walls, trying to find a way out of this hellhole.

I started to hear faint voices of people yelling. Somehow, I crawled even faster. They must've noticed I was missing. "Search for her!" I heard the head variant yell. I winced as I found another passage, crawling into it quickly. Before I could register what was happening, I tumbled down into a dark room. I quickly used my magic to light my surroundings. I was in a storeroom of sorts. I quickly hid behind a box, cursing myself.

The door opened as light streamed in, then it shut, the telltale sound of a lock clicking followed. I tried to conjure myself a weapon but failed. I panicked. I tried again and again. I felt someone scrape against me. "There she is!" Someone yelled. I immediately punched and kicked, fighting them off. I threw boxes blindly, trying to unlock the door. I pounded on it and fought off anyone who got near.

Suddenly, the door opened from behind me. I blinked at the sudden bright light. I punched, kicked and screamed at the newcomers. All 13 variants were here. The passage was no where in sight. I attacked them, but it was to no avail. One against 13 people? It was nearly impossible. I kept fighting, trying not to let them grab me. I punched one in the face as I grabbed a crate and slammed it on another one's head, effectively knocking him out. I swung the crate around like a madwoman and hit 2 more variants. The others came up behind me so I threw it at them as they scattered.

I was out of breath, but all of them were still full of energy. "Get her!" They screamed. I grabbed another crate and started attacking, but I was growing weak really fast. But I managed, and as their attacks grew weaker, I managed to knock each and every one of them out. "Enough!" A voice yelled. I turned but saw no one. "You Lokis never see the big picture," A voice chuckled. I turned around, gripping the crate. "Show yourself!" I yelled.

"Very well," I heard a voice say. But before I turned around, I felt a sharp pain as I crumpled to the ground and black expanded before my vision.
