I had a bad feeling when I walked into the mist. It was just this tingling feeling down my spine, like something bad was about to happen. I shrugged it off. Of course I would feel anxious, we were walking through green mist and we have no idea what's on the other side.

I was still holding the alligator that the kid gave me. It surprisingly didn't attack me... yet. The kid had assured me that he had his magic so he gave the alligator to me as 'protection'. I had learned to be wary of the Lokis, you'll never know what would happen.

The mist got thicker as we walked. Soon it got so thick to the point I couldn't see anything, just thick green mist.  "B-15?" I called. "Where are you Mobius?" I heard her yell. I fumbled around and my hands touched something. "Is that you, Mobius?" She asked. "Yeah," I held on to her. "Where's the kid?" I asked. She muttered something. "Hold on," She fumbled around. Light cut through the mist. She was using her Tempad as a light source. How does she not go blind when using it is a mystery to me.

"Where's the kid?" I asked again, taking the Tempad from her and shone it towards the mist. "Loki?" I called. No reply. "Look for him," B-15 said immediately. I took out my own Tempad, set the brightness to 100% and shone it into the thick green mist. I winced at the bright light.

B-15 let go of me as we shone the light indifferent directions, looking for the kid. The alligator looked more anxious than me or B-15, roaring and walking around, trying to find his owner. "Come on, kid! This isn't funny!" I yelled, shining the light around. "Where are you?" B-15 yelled. The alligator roared. None of us had a reply.

We yelled (the alligator roared) until all of our throats were sore. But there was no reply. "Did you find him, Mobius?" B-15 asked. "No," I shook my head. She inhaled nervously. "We need to spread out. We'll cover more ground and find him faster," She said.

I opened my mouth to protest but closed it. She was right. "Okay but we need something to notify each other in case we run into trouble," I replied. She grabbed my Tempad and pushed a few buttons. "There. If there's an emergency, press this button. It'll alert me," She passed it to me. "Wow. Thanks," I told her. I wonder how she knew this stuff when I didn't even know a thing about it.

I turned around and walked into the green mist, keeping my finger on the button just in case. The alligator crawled beside me. It didn't seem to need the light, as it crawled faster and I had to quicken my pace to keep up with him.

He stopped at a clearing, turning around to look at me, thick green mist wrapping around him like a shawl. "What is it?" I asked, walking over. What I saw made my blood run cold. The kid was lying in a puddle of blood. His blood.

I pressed the button repeatedly. "Come on," I muttered, checking for a pulse as well as waiting for B-15. I hear footsteps approaching as she stepped into the clearing. "What- Oh my god," She muttered, crouching down.

"We need to abandon mission. Now," I said with urgency, hoisting the kid up on my back. A dagger lay on the ground. I quickly picked it up and passed it to B-15. "Go, go, go! Get back to the hideout, he needs medical attention. Now," I told her. We started running. B-15 picked the alligator up as she ran. The kid was heavy, but I could manage.

I looked back to the slowly fading green mist in terror. What was it that hurt him like this? I swore I heard a distant cackling, echoing through the place. "Mobius!" I heard B-15 yell. "C-Coming!" I called back, turning around and sprinting back to the hideout. He was loosing blood, fast.

I hoped we could make it back in time.
