The Wanda Maximoff variant was friendly. Friendlier than I had expected. It had been quite a while since his spirit left my body, and I was going to enjoy these rare moments of freedom.

"So.. how did you end up here?" She asked curiously. "Escape attempt went awry. And you?" I kept my answer vague. At least if she wanted to attack me she wouldn't have a tactical advantage. She pursed her lips together. "I was 'supposed to' study the Darkhold and learn all those spells, but I guess I didn't want to. And so..." She shrugged. I nodded slowly.

"Wonder what they're doing?" She asked. "I don't know," I shrugged. "But is there any chance that I could escape this place without using his powers?" She sighed. "If you're as powerful as he claims, then you probably could. But a few hours ago, something happened, and I'm not sure if..." She trailed off.

"What happened?" I asked, worried. Would I ever make it out? "Somebody did something. There was a strong current of magic before the realm got..." She stopped, looking for words. "Got what?" I asked impatiently. "You won't like it," She sighed. "Tell me," I hissed. "Fine. It sort of got separated from reality. It's not anchored to the void anymore. No one, not even she knows what happened. Our best guess is the TVA removed us-" "Wait." I interrupted her. She shot me a questioning look. "I think I know what happened," A soft smile grew on my face. They had succeeded. They made it. We had a chance.

"What happened?" She asked curiously. I started explaining to her what had happened as fast as I could before they came back. "So you mean there are variants of you that killed Alioth?" She asked. "Well, I think because the enchantment was too strong, which is unlikely, or it was someone who was controlling it, and the person got killed, therefore Alioth is dead too. I think it was the latter," I explained.

"If your deductions are true, then it means your variants slew the person behind it all," She whispered. "We're free." I furrowed my brows. No, it wasn't that easy. It didn't sound right. "I don't think so." Her head snapped up and she looked at me questioningly. "There are multiple universes, killing the person behind the TVA would mean the multiverse would have been unleashed. Worlds will spiral into chaos. We're not free, we're doomed," I came to the horrible realization. Her eyes widened in horror.

"We need to get everyone out of this place now, before this reality collapses," She said urgently. "I read about it in the Darkh- the book. If a reality is too small, other realities will crush it. We have only little time left." She grabbed my hand and ran out. I stopped her. "Wait," I said. "There's no time to waste!" She insisted. "Listen!" I snapped. "As much as I dislike the idea, having them back in our bodies may speed up the process." She scoffed. "And you think they will help?" "Well, if they don't, we'll be dead, therefore they need to find new hosts. And I doubt they will find them right away," I said. She sighed. "Fine."

There was an awkward pause. "But we don't know where they vanished to," I muttered.

"Well, I do. Come on."
