In her arms

Erin's POV

I had a long day. Working and fixing things all day, got so tired. I was about to wash my face and get ready for bed when I heard a loud knock on the gate.

I was hopeful it's Amara, She told me in the morning after we talked on video call that she will come to see me today, though I know it might be very difficult for her because of some religious ceremony all over the country, I told her not to come, I can't take a risk of her safety, there's no signal on sim, roads are closed and I haven't heard anything from her since morning.

I was worried all day, I know Amara is stubborn, she won't listen to me and She never did this to me before that she won't talk for few hours, she's very clingy and always checking on me from time to time, I have no idea what's going on.

My mom and my son just came from outside and they went straight inside the room so when we all heard the loud noise from the gate I told mama that I'll open it.

"Just a minute!" I exclaimed in irritating voice as the person behind the gate kept banging it like there's no tomorrow.

I clearly saw her eyes slowly opened wide and I was so surprised She almost jumped to hug me, "I found you!" I can hear the excitement and happiness in her voice. "You came, I though you won't be able to come." I almost cried telling her I was waiting all day and I got worried that she won't find my address.

"How is it possible, I made a promise; so I'll make sure I'll try my very best." she responded making sure I'll feel better.

"Come inside my mom and my son js waiting for you." I assisted Amara to come inside "Tell your driver to park and come inside." I added.

I guided the two of them inside my room, they both looked so tired and came from a very long journey, Amara on the other hand seems so happy though she's not telling me, I know she had a long day too.

"I was so scared, I thought I won't be able to see you" she secretly whispered in my ear. I found her so loving and so caring, her voice gave me a little nervous like my heart is beating so quickly, She gave me this kind of effect that no one else did even Mia never gave me the same effect.

After settling them and having chit chat for couple of minutes I noticed the time and they haven't had dinner, Amara told me they were on the road all day, they travelled for 6 hours, without any road closures it's usually gonna take up to 2 hrs only. I can't believe she will do these things, crazy things just to see me.

"Stay here I'll go ahead and cook something for you okay" I quickly headed to the kitchen and start cooking, didn't noticed that Amara is following me the entire time.

She looks so beautiful with her long black hair, I can usually see her on pictures but watching her how she waive her straight hair made me fall for her even more, I was so happy to see her, my body is trembling like I saw my crush back in 10th grade. She was wearing a ragged fitted jeans with white shirt, made her looks so pretty with white running shoes plus her leather coat, she's absolutely stunning without make up, her natural beauty added a huge point into my heart.

I kept trying to hide my emotions, "What will you make?" She suddenly stopped my thoughts from thinking "It's a desi dish called Chicken Karahi, don't worry it'll be less spicy" I guaranteed her. I told her to sit on a vacant small chair

"So.. You finally came and found me" I was trying to hide how even my words are startled. "Are you happy to see me" Amara asked me while I was continuously working on the stove. "Of course I do, but you're so stubborn I told you there's no signal." My heartbeat started to rushed in again when I felt her warmth body as she pushed herself closed to mine from behind. "Hmmm, Just hug me then I'll feel better." She said like a child asking for a hug.

Amara's POV

I was hugging Erin for few minutes when I realized that someone might see us, I quickly went back to the small chair and watched her cooking. It's so overwhelming to see her like this cooking something for me

We had a little chatting while she's busy cooking, I kept talking and talking and we didn't noticed the time until it took few more minutes and she's done preparing everything so Martin and I can have dinner. Erin and I went to the same room where she took us and we all sat down and started eating,

"Why are you just watching us, have some too" I asked in curiosity because they're not even taking plate for food.

"We had dinner already it's almost 7:30 so almost everyone are getting ready for bed around this time." Erin replied.

Her mom is literally ready for bed so we didn't insisted, I just had few bited because I felt my tongue burning because of so much spice plus I'm allergic to chicken I just can't tell Erin so she won't feel discouraged, I appreciate that she put lots of effort in cooking.

Martin and Erin continuously talking about random things while I'm staring at Erin's face, I felt so lucky, She's so beautiful, I bet she gained lots of weight all through the years and her pregnancy made her figure more exotic and her complexion is like mine very fair, I love the way she talks in real, like there's something in her voice that can make me feel sleepy even. She's way more taller than me, Her smile makes my heart melt and she can easily make some9 fall in love with her just the way she is, naturally.

After dinner we let Martin rest for few hours and she invited me to sit with her mom in the other room. We sat in there for few minutes while watching television, she was sitting in front of me as she slowly run her fingers to my hand and held them, after few minutes of memorizing the veins on my left hand she slowly moved her hand and started playing with the strands of my hair.
