40 weeks and 5 days.

5 days since Seungmin's due date.

But the empty crib,
Hyunjin's worried face and
his husband's round belly made
it obvious that their baby still
hadn't felt the need to make
their appearance yet.

The younger was seriously done
with his pregnancy.

Especially these past weeks were extremely exhausting for him,
his body was working hard to
prepare for the birth and to bring their child into the right position
and also it was just tiring carrying
a heavy full-term baby around
all the time.

He couldn't even sit up without
any help from his husband so he
mostly spent his days in the bed,
his pregnancy pillow being the
only thing that took some discomfort
away from the poor boy.

"Minnie?"

"Hm?"

Hyunjin smiled softly when
his adorable husband looked
at him sleepily, his hair tousled
and a cute pout decorating
his puppy face.

In all honesty the older
absolutely loved the way
Seungmin looked being pregnant.

His cheeks had gotten slightly chubbier just like basically
everything about him plus
the adorable baby bump hidden under the oversized sweater
Hyunjin recognized as his own.

"How are you feeling, pup?
I was about to make you some raspberry leaf tea, would you
like some?"

They had tried literally everything
to induce labor naturally, long walks, gymnastics, all kinds of muscle
relaxing teas, even sex.

The older had been hard to
convince about the effectiveness
but what could he reply to
'we fucked to get the baby in there
so we'll also fuck to get them out
of there'?

Yeah, Seungmin had gotten quite sassy but Hyunjin knew that he was just on the edge, the hormones and pain made him like this.

But in the end he wasn't one to complain about touching his
beautiful husband, not after practically doing nothing
for months.

And as long as Seungmin kept
saying that he wouldn't hurt or traumatize their baby,
they'd be fine.

"I don't think I need the tea anymore"

The brunette smiled tiredly as he slipped his hand under his sweater,
pressing his palm against the underside of his swollen belly.

The skin felt warm and hard against his hand, his whole bump had tensed because of the ongoing contraction.

"I- I think I'm in labor, Jinnie."

"Really?"

"Mhm, come here."

Seungmin motioned with his other hand for his husband to come closer,
smiling softly at how nervous and somehow shy the older looked.

He took the ravenette's hand in his hand once Hyunjin had sat down beside him on the mattress and guided it to his belly.

"It feels kinda tense, right?"

The other only nodded,
a frown on his beautiful face
as he ran his hand over his
husband's baby bump.

And he frowned even more when Seungmin suddenly hissed and closed his eyes, his hand blindly searching for Hyunjin's before he intertwined them on his bump.

"Minnie?"

But before the younger was even able to answer, the sound of something splashing made their faces pale.

While the puppy-like boy cringed at the uncomfortable feeling of the still ongoing contraction and the warm liquid soaking his sweatpants,
Hyunjin looked like he had
just seen a ghost.

"M-minnie oh my- w-we need to..
Hospital.. Your- my mom..
The baby-"

Seungmin could grab the older's
hood just in time to prevent his husband from fainting,
the last thing he needed right
now was his husband freaking himself out into unconsciousness.

"Jinnie love, listen to me.
Yes, the baby is coming.
Our little baby.
But there's no need to rush,
it's not like it'll fall out any minute"

The younger chuckled when Hyunjin stared at him with big eyes.

"First we'll call the hospital, okay?
And then I want to change into
some dry clothes before we leave
this house. And then, when we're in the hospital and got our room,
when the doctor has checked everything, then we'll call our
parents, alright?"

Seungmin reached up to cup
his husband's cheek, smiling
when he nodded a bit.

He had visibly calmed again already,
he wasn't breathing as fast as before anymore.

"Can you help me up?"

Again Hyunjin just nodded silently but immediately took the younger's hands to pull him up.

"Thank you."

In all honesty Seungmin was also
a teeny tiny bit nervous but more excited.

Their little one was finally coming.

"Jinnie?"

The brunette smiled softly at his still pale husband and took his hands to place them on his round belly.

"Smile love,
we'll meet our baby soon."
