Oorbo looked at Runi worriedly. He was about to ask him something else when the teacher came in and started class.
The teacher asked everyone to get their homework out. Oorbo frantically searched for his homework. He found it, but it was partially finished. He panicked and tried to finish it all before the teacher took it. The teacher came over to him and looked at his homework. He pulled it up from under him and looked at it.
"None of these answers are right," he said.
"W-what?" Oorbo asked, bewildered.
"You didn't learn anything from our last class, did you? You are not supposed to solve y using only x. You need to multiply x and z first, then use the numerical formula to find your y value."
Oorbo didn't understand a word the teacher said, but nodded in agreement.
"If you do this worksheet again correctly, then I will give you credit. But until then, it's a zero."
He saw all the other classmates snickering at him. Oorbo sighed and continued to pay attention in class, bored out of his mind. Eventually, his gaze turned to the new girl and he tilted his head, suddenly interested in her.Oorbo leaned near Runi and whispered, "Who is that girl over there?"
"Oh, her? Ya she just got here. Supposedly she's an exchange student." His friend answered.
"Do you know her name?" Oorbo asked.
"No, but you can ask her," His friend said.
"I-I don't want to ask her, what if she doesn't want to answer?" he asked.
"Why are you worried about that? Just ask her before she leaves, it's our last class anyway," His friend told him.
"Ok..I will," Oorbo said, turning his head towards the girl.
When class was about to end, everyone began packing up. Oorbo saw the girl packing up her things and flew over to her. She was a little startled by his sudden presence. He calmed himself down before speaking. His color slowly turned gold as he approached her. After the class ended, everyone began to leave. Just as the girl was leaving, Oorbo flew over to her. She was a little startled by his sudden presence.
His stomach growled from all of the emotional pressure as he began to feel a flare-up coming. He slowly turned copper and quickly backed away embarrassed, "Stop," he said under his breath. He shook himself back into his normal color and put on a determined face.
Oorbo calmed himself down yet again before speaking. "Hey, aren't you the new girl?" Oorbo asked.
"Yes..?" The girl said.
"What's-" Oorbo began to ask before immediately freezing.
"W- what's your name?" Oorbo finally asked, trying not to make eye contact with her.
"My name is Orianna," she said.
"T-that's a nice name," Oorbo stuttered as he began to sweat.
"Thank you, oh and what's your name?" Orianna asked.
"M-my name? It's Oorbo," he said.
As soon as he made contact with her eyes, he started sweating profusely. The butterflies in his stomach suddenly turned into what felt like bees. It started to churn and gurgle, feeling like he wasn't alone in his guts. He felt a sudden pressure in his jetpack. He immediately started panicking while also trying to keep a straight face.
"Hey, are you ok?" She asked him.
"Uh...could you excuse me for a moment?" Oorbo said, trying to be calm.
He flew out of the classroom and into the bathroom. His hands were buried into his head.
"I can't do this. I can't do this," He kept saying to himself.
"Dang it! Now she'll never like me," he said out loud, hopelessly.
After he used the bathroom, he flew back over to the classroom. Almost everyone was gone except for the teacher who was grading papers.
Oorbo grabbed his belongings and headed for the school bus, leaving for the day and wishing he never returned.
