Chapter 1
"Reports have shown that Spherius has never seen living conditions like this before. After the recent stock market crash, many spherians have resorted to other, more drastic measures to ensure the survival of their families. Orb Leader Globånzei had this to say about this critical issue,
''We are trying our best to ensure the safety of our people and the longevity of our temporal finite resources. I ensure you, this crash will not last forever. Until then trust in our processes and we will help anyone in need of assistance, thank you.''And we have this response from the former chief of staff Spilobei Fulvous, ''This crash has been a major setback to our economy and living standards. We cannot live like this for much longer or else our economy as a whole will weaken, and if that happens, our strength as a society is doomed. I don't trust our orb leader's plans in giving us government assistance, if we rely on the government, they can control us.''
Alright, now onto other news-"
Oorbo changed the radio channel.
"Hey, I was listening to that!" Orbii seethed.
"It was getting boring, I wanna play some music," He tuned to a music station and on that station was their favorite song. "Hey look! It's our song!"
"You can't just-"
Oorbo interceded. "C'mon bro, sing with me!"
Orbii didn't want to, for he was still grudging over Oorbo turning the news off, but eventually he let it go.
"Alright, fine."
They then started singing the song as they made their way down the road.
After driving for a while, they realized no one else was on the road.
"Hey, can we go faster?" Oorbo asked.
"No, I'd risk getting pulled over."
"Oh come on, there's no one on the road."
"I.. I can't-" Orbii hesitated.
"You know you want to," Oorbo coaxed. "Come on, while the night's still young."
"Ok.. sure, let's go a bit faster," Orbii drove faster, going above the speed limit.
"Woohoo!" They both shouted.
Then they saw flashing lights behind them. Oorbo snapped his head around to see the police behind them. Orbii checked through the rear view mirrors.
"Aw crap." Orbii muttered.
"Cops?! How fast were you going, bro?"
"Eighty.. ish."
"Eighty?!" Oorbo shrieked as his color drained out of him. "Aw we're so dead!"
"Hey, you're the one who made me do this!" Orbii retorted.
