Chapter 5
=================================================================
I didn't want any pity.
Even though he left me, he gave me the best thing in my life...my daughter.
Just then I heard a wail coming from upstairs, Emma had woken u. I got up and got ready her bottle before going upstairs. I picked her up from her crib and I sat down on the rocking chair by my window. I rocked back and forth while feeding Emma. I looked around my room, I looked around all the memories I had left behind. I got up, Emma just haveing finished her bottle. I patted her back gently untill she burped. I walked up to the wall which was covered of pictures of my friends and I, me and my family and also me and Josh. I looked so happy then, cuddled in his arms. By the time I finished inspecting the wall Emma had fallen back asleep. I put her back into her crib and kissed her cheek while pulling her blanket up to her chin. I went into my bag and took out three pictures, one was when I was in the hospital holding Emma for the first time, the other when Emma was first taken home from the hospital and Emma a few days before we left. These were my favourite pictures of her, from the hundreds I had taken. I rummeged in my desk drawer and came out with three pins. I then pinned the three pictures in the center of the wall as I stepped back to look at my handy work.
Emma was the center of my world now.
