The teacher choose than moment to walk in, bringing the class to attention.
"I'll tell you later" I whispered to Leila
"Okay dokey, after school?"
"Yep, at my place. I'll drive us."
The teacher called out "Okay everybody, we got a new student. Well, more like a returnee, that I would like you guys to welcome. Alexis, you wanna come up and say a few words?"
Darn, Mr. Kelahay
"Um...yeah...sure."
I walked up to the front of the classroom. Well aware of the stares at my back. I turned to face my old friends and began to talk.
"You guys probably remember me from a year ago. I'm back and that's pretty much it. So, um, any questions?"
I peered around the room challenging anyone to ask anything.
“Well, yeah, I have, like, a question.”
I looked who asked. Urghh, I groaned it was one of the s**** from Felecia’s “posy”.
