Sorry for the late upload.

Over the past few days I have just been really stressed with stuff happening on the server.

Clay POV.

“Karl, Alex, and I have been talking about escaping…” the ravenette stated in a low voice, and I leaned even closer to the wall to hear him.
“How?” I asked, “do you have an escape plan?”

“It’s hard to explain… but an avox has been leaving notes, it says ‘for the District 4 boy’ and it goes to me… although I think it was meant… for you.” Nick paused a lot in between the words and I was confused.

“What do you mean it was meant for me Nick? Why would an avox leave me something?” I mean to have a tone at my best friend. I had just been feeling more agitated, and worried for George, as to be expected. Nick sighed before explaining.
“Because you became friends with their son…”

All anger and agitation dropped from my voice as my eyebrows furrowed. “What?”
“They said in the note that their names are Richard and Ashley Davidson, and that they were taken by the Capitol from District 3 in the second rebellion to program weapons. After the Districts lost they were turned into avoxes.”

I already knew what that meant, but stayed silent. “So that means…”
“It means that their son went into the arena and you became his friend. They want to help you and the rest of us get out.” He explained.

“And how are they going to do that?” I asked, “I hate to be rude to George’s parents but it kind of seems like they are just as much prisoners as we are.”
Nick let out what seemed to be a low chuckle from through the wall. Which made me even more confused.

“According to one of the notes, they serve here at the Citadel, and every night they stated that they get told to deliver drinks to the peacekeepers in charge of watching the cameras and controlling the doors. All they need to do is slip in a few sleeping pills from the infirmary and…”

“We could walk out of here avoiding the peacekeepers, gamermakers, and anyone else who’ll stop us!” I excitedly exclaimed, before pausing for a moment as I thought. “How do we know if they are able to override the doors and cameras?”
My friend scoffed from through the wall. “They are from District 3, it’s like asking if someone from District 4 knows how to swim.”

Maybe I should have guessed that. “What is the plan?” I asked.
My eyes darted up to the camera, feeling worried, as though the peacekeepers or whoever was watching us could hear our plans even though I knew there was no audio.

“Tomorrow they will send me a note, telling us what time we need to be standing in front of the doors, when the sleeping pills kick in, the Davidson’s will override the cameras and every door between us and the exit.” Nick began to explain.

“Fundy, comes from District 6, the transport District. There is a train station a couple blocks away which you can see from the window. It brings all of the exports, besides tributes, to the Capitol. He could override the train's controls and take it over. Mr and Mrs Davidson will also have weapons for the 2 of us and some peacekeeper uniforms.”

“And once we escape? Then what happens?” I questioned. “Do we just go back to our homes and pretend nothing happened? The Capitol will catch us again in a heartbeat.”
“Then, we go back to each of our districts and get our families, take them with us before taking the train to the end of the line, District 12. Nobody will look for us there. Apparently Victor’s village wasn’t destroyed there.”

“Did they tell you all of that in their notes? How many did they leave?” I couldn’t help but wonder.
“They left one every day since this time last week.” Nick responded. “They said they could override doors and cameras and provide us with weapons and peacekeeper uniforms to get out. And said that we might be able to survive in victor's village,  on one condition…”

He stopped after that. “Which is…” I prompted him.
“They want us to take them back to District 3, let them get their son and bring them with us,” he stated. “They want to see if George is there and bring him and his brother with us.”

It made me want to cry. George’s parents were here. They’d have to witness the games closer than any other person's family would have to  plus the fact that they had to serve the people who were responsible for planning their son's death.

“That could work.” I stated. We sat in silence for a few more moments before I stood up. “I’m going to go to sleep.” I announced. “I’ll see you tomorrow Nick.” I added in a quieter tone.
“Night Clay.” he responded as I made my way over to the uncomfortable bed and laid down on it.

For a few more hours I stayed awake though, thinking and rethinking about the plan over and over again. I had to admit, it sounded good. There weren’t too many flaws in the plan that I could see. As long as the avoxes managed to get the peacekeepers to drink the coffee or whatever drink had the sleeping pills in it, we should be good.

Something that both I, and I’m assuming they, hope is that George made it back to District 3. I couldn’t live with myself if I didn’t get a chance to at least apologize to his face. And I couldn't wait to see my family, if we managed to escape. My sister Drista, and my mother.

It was difficult to sleep with those people in my mind, they were seemingly running in a circle. Drista, my sister. Puffy, my mother. All of my friends back in District 4. George, my… my everything.

Why did it hurt the most when I thought about George? Not my family, or friends who I have known for years. But him.
Killing his friend was the worst thing I’ve ever done, I’d give anything to undo it. I’d sacrifice everything because then George might be here beside me, and he would look at me with something other than hatred in his eyes.

But… if I hadn’t killed his friend then he and I might both be dead by now. George wouldn’t have snuck out through the panels and we could have been killed by the mutts. And the mutts… the mutts plagued my thoughts for the rest of the evening.
