(Set near the end of season 3, episode 6)

Yasmina took a running leap over the turbulent river. She started to think if this was all worth it. She took a few seconds to rest when hitting the other river bank. As she was about to go back to running, she heard the all but familiar sound of the Scorpius climbing down from the trees.

As she turned around, she stared at the beast. "If you're going to do something, then do it already! I would rather die than see the one I love to suffer!" She yelled as the tears she held back were finally allowed to fall. A scream of pain tears her chest as her senses are flooded with burning pain. She held the antidote tight to her chest. But that would be her worst mistake as the beast lunges forward and catches Yasmina's leg in its jaws, biting through skin and bone. The sickening crunch of the bone as the Scorpius dragged her to the ground finalized something in Yasmina's head. She was finished that she would never be able to compete in track or walk again if she survived this.

Brooklynn hears the scream and tells Kenji to find Yaz.

When he reached where Yaz was, what he saw was something he never thought he could unsee. The lower portion of Yasmina's left leg was gone, with what was left bleeding onto the grass.

"Kenji?" He heard her whisper. The teen nodded and grabbed the antidote from her. "I don't think I have much time left, Kenji. I need to ask you to do something for me." Yasmina said.

Kenji nodded. "Of course. What do you need me to do?" He asked. Yaz replied, "If Sammy wakes up, please promise me that you will tell her that I love her more than anything. And that I'll be waiting for her at our spot." Kenji was the only person who knew about Sammy and Yaz's relationship.

"I promise, Yaz." Those three words were the last words Kenji said to Yaz before she died.

He leaned her against a tree and started to run back to camp. When he got back, Brooklynn looked at him, questioning. He shook his head as he handed Brooklynn the antidote. As she injected it into her, she asked, "Where's Yaz?" Kenji looked at her, eyes full of tears, and whispered, "She's dead. The Scorpius bit off her leg, and she bled out. And she gave me a message for Sammy... If she lives, that is."

As the two looked on, Sammy had stopped breathing. "Sammy?" Brooklynn whispered as she shook her shoulder with no reply from the Texan. That was when Brooklynn started to panic. "No! No! This can't be happening. We just lost Yaz. We can not lose you too." Brooklynn gripped Kenji as if he would fade away if she let go.

He whispered as he finally let the tears fall. "Well, at least they can be together again." Brooklynn looked at him in confusion and asked, "What do you mean, Kenji?"

Kenji replied, "They were a couple. They kept it a secret from the rest of us because they were scared of what we would think of them. They only trusted me to keep it a secret. I'll miss them so much." "Me too, Kenji. Me too." The two teens fell into tears.

Yaz looked around as her world faded to a rocky coast. She recognized the beach where she first met Sammy five years ago. It was still as beautiful as she remembered. As she walked, she felt someone touch her. "Yaz?" She smiled as she turned around to see her love."Sammy?" The two girls hugged as they finally reunited, even though it was in death.

Yasmina cupped Sammy's cheek in her hand as the Texan did the same to her. "I missed you." The two whispered as they leaned into a soft kiss.
