(I hope this isn't offensive to people who have PTSD I'm just going off what happens in the show but with the aged-up character of Yaz. No real mentions of Sammy since this is a Yaz-centered one-shot)

Yasmina ran her hands through her tangled hair as memories of the island started to flow back like a tidal wave slowly drowning her. She felt like she was losing herself after everything she had done to try and heal.

She shook her head slightly, trying to clear the thoughts and memories, but they kept flooding her head. Her breathing started to become sharp and shallow. She hated the memories of Isla Nublar as they scraped and scurried along the ground like snakes and mice. There is a hissing in her ears now that grew in volume the more she tried to ignore it. The hissing turned into a soft chortle of a raptor that put her more on edge as she waited for it to pass. The memories come back every once in a while, but this wasn't like the other times this felt real, like she was back on the island being hunted. She could feel the humidity of the jungle and hear the heavy thud of the T-rex's feet and the roars of the Scorpius Rex.

She barely heard footsteps coming up the stairs.

She was too deep in her thoughts to notice Sammy opening the door and seeing the mess her love has become. She knew she couldn't do much to help her, other than be there for her as she picked up the shattered pieces of what used to be her normal life before Nublar. As Sammy came closer to Yasmina's side, she slowly put her arms around her girlfriend's shoulders and held her firmly against her with just enough pressure to help calm her down. As Yasmina's breaths became less frantic, she relaxed
