The Monster

A fucking flower with teeth, that's what I'm running away from. Apparently being in danger was a trend now.

I think we got into the, like the boys called it, Upside Down when we crawled through that tree.

There was no wind, no heat, not stars just a cold, dark void.

I grabbed Nancy's hand a bit tighter, afraid of losing her.

"Nance, when this is over I'm never going to let go of your hand. I'm literally gonna be by your side till we're old and wrinkly, okay?",I whispered to her.

"You can do that but first we need to find Jonathan.",the girl replied frightened.

"Why didn't he follow us?",I muttered and looked around, searching for an exit of this nightmare.

The fact that there was a creature that wanted to eat us was making my heart go crazy.

"Jonathan.",Nancy shouted while breathing heavily. "We're here."

"I'm here, Nancy. I'm right here.",I heard his voice echoing. It sounded like Will's when I was at the Middleschool with the boys. "Just follow my voice."

I started running in the direction where his voice came from, dragging my best friend with me.

I gasped when the flower-monster-thingy suddenly appeared in front of us.

"This way!",I yelled and dragged us behind a tree.

My heart was racing, my hands were freaking sweaty and I was trying to control my breath.
This was a pure nightmare.

I looked at my best friend who was all covered in slime and dirt trying to catch her breath as well.

The growling continued and at this point I didn't really had to go to the toilet anymore. But it was just a little...I guess.

I squeezed my eyes together and prayed to God that this creature wouldn't see us.

"Nancy, Emma. Follow my voice.",Jonathan's voice seemed to come from the tree right next to us.

I grabbed her hand when the monster was nowhere to be seen, dragged her to the tree and shoved her through the little hole.

"Hurry the fuck up, Nancy. I swear I'm not going to die today.",I hissed at her and grabbed her butt to push her through the hole.

I followed her and honestly it was more disgusting this time than the first time crawling through the hole, considering that it was about to close.

I let out a relieved sigh when I felt Jonathan's hands grabbing mine and almost tearing me out of that freaking tree.

"I got you, Emma.",he mumbled when I broke down in front of him, tears escaping my eyes.

That was the most terrifying shit I've ever went through and I've once seen Steve accidentally naked.

Jonathan had me in his arms, mumbling some comforting words while trying to calm me down.

I let go off him and looked at Nancy. "Are you okay, Nance? You didn't get hurt or something, right?"

She nodded. "Yes- I'm fine. We should just go home. You're all gonna stay at my place tonight though. I don't think we should be alone right now."

I simply nodded. I wasn't capable of anything else in that moment and I really really needed a shower.

"Let's go.",I mumbled exhausted.

This chapter is obviously bullshit but Emma and Nancy aren't 😙✌🏻
