Emma awakened, head spinning, unsure of where she was. She looked over at the nightstand to find the clock with her blurry eyes: 4:30am. She looked to her left – Stevie? – she sort of remembered what happened as it started coming back in bits through her fogged memory.
Emma felt a little confused, worried that sharing a bed, even one as big as this, could be crossing a bright red line between employer and employee. But at the same time, she felt kind of incredible. How many people in the world wish they could wake up next to Stevie Nicks?
But this moment started to make her mind run wild. Maybe it was the hangover and dehydration, or the lack of food, or maybe it was the red wine – a natural aphrodisiac, but Emma felt something she never felt before toward her new boss.
She looked so beautiful sleeping next to her, right arm outstretched from holding Emma through the night, left hand resting on her stomach, rising and falling with each breath she took.
Emma was straight – as far as she knew – but there were certain women in college or in the media who she found endearing; there was something about them that made her feel differently than she did toward other friends. And looking at Stevie next to her ignited that same feeling.
She made out with girls while drunk in college and to be honest, she really enjoyed it. She watched lesbian porn here and there, which got her off far better than the often disgusting heterosexual stuff. She knew she wanted to date men, but something about being intimately entangled with a woman - especially with Stevie - piqued her interest.
Emma got up slowly from bed to go to find water and Advil. She rustled through the welcome bag on the dresser, finding a bottle of water and a small package of ibuprofen. There was also a bag of freeze-dried fruit in there - like any good hotel welcome bag, so she took what she could get to make sure she wasn't taking the medicine on an empty stomach. At least I'm thinking like a functioning person...
She sat down on one of the arm chairs, glancing back over at Stevie sleeping soundly behind her. Emma couldn't figure out what it was about her, but she couldn't control the tingly sensation slowly taking over every part of her body as she looked at her boss laying there so peacefully.
Emma sat for a few more minutes, thinking through the possible outcomes of acting on this newfound arousal. Either things go well or things get awkward, both of which could result in Emma getting fired or weird tension between the two.
Emma decided it was up to Stevie to make the move, but maybe she could pretend to be asleep and try snuggling up closer to gauge her interest. Emma could be sneaky, and this was something that tended to work with men she wasn't sure of in the past: do a slight arm grab or thigh touch and see what happens; pretend nothing happened if it goes downhill.
She sighed softly and made her way back into bed. Stevie's arm was still outstretched enough for her to get back to snuggling up to her. She laid down, seeing that Stevie's arm basically remembered the position it was in before, her fingers slowly circling Emma's arm again once she got settled in position.
Is she asleep? Emma wondered as she snuggled up closer, this time folding her right arm over Stevie's midsection. She felt Stevie move slightly, making a soft and sleepy moan as her left hand fell over Emma's right.
God, she's gorgeous, Emma thought. How could she be falling for her boss? But it wasn't like this was a normal person – this was the Queen of Rock and Roll. She was known for her sex appeal, and now Emma understood why. It was like Stevie cast a spell on her out of nowhere, and Emma was smothered in its power.
