"So that one's also –"

"About you? Yes." Stevie ran her fingers through Emma's hair as Emma sat between her legs, her head resting comfortably on her chest, just as she wished she had been these last 2.5 years.

They had just finished talking for about an hour, catching each other up on their lives since that morning. Though they were naked in the jacuzzi tub, they had yet to rekindle that aspect of their relationship.

Stevie decided to play Emma the entirety of her new album, which wasn't being released for another 5 weeks.

"I thought you wrote that first song in 1975?" She asked, looking up into Stevie's eyes.

Stevie gently kissed her forehead, "I did, but I decided to include it and make it the opening song because of you. It was originally written about women, you know?"

Emma giggled, "Really? I would've never guessed, Miss "I don't remember who that one's about!"

Stevie playfully splashed her, "Well, now you know!"

Emma looked up at her again, and Stevie leaned down to softly kiss her lips. She went back to stroking her hair, both of them oblivious to the water growing colder while the next song played.

"Stevie...are you serious?!" Emma laughed.

"What?!" Stevie asked incredulously.

"This is probably the gayest thing you've ever written!" She kept smiling, listening as the song went on playing.

"For your information, I wrote this when I was 17! I thought it was beautiful and romantic and at the time, it was about a boy!" She huffed.

Emma rolled her eyes, "But this one's also me?"

Stevie pretended to be nonchalant, "It might've been added to the record in your honor, yes..."

"Well, I am honored. Thank you." She leaned back into her chest, feeling the goosebumps rise along Stevie's thighs.

"Are you cold? We can get out if you want..." Emma asked.

"Wait, I want you to hear this song, too. This is the one that inspired me to make the record in the first place...did you see Twilight?" Stevie asked her.

Emma nodded, "Who hasn't?"

Stevie readjusted herself and pulled Emma back into her, "Well, do you remember that scene in the forest when he just leaves her there, and then she cries in her room for months?"

"Yeah," Emma's voice was shaky, "it actually really reminded me of you."

Stevie was startled, "What?! Well it reminded me of you, and I nearly had a mental breakdown in the movie theater! Karen had to run out to get me Kleenex from the car, I was inconsolable!"

Emma smiled at that visual, knowing damn well Stevie wasn't exaggerating.

"Anyway, I went back to my hotel room in Australia that night and wrote this song...I've been trying to stay vague about it when asked in interviews, so people probably just assume it's about Lindsey or Don or Joe...but you and I know the truth now, and that's all that matters to me." She squeezed her tighter as the song played, Emma sinking back into her like memory foam.

Stevie's pure falsetto wrapped around the final notes. She could feel Emma start to shiver and realized they should probably get out of the cold water.
