I have promised Danny to take him to the amusement park today.

Pulling out my phone from my jeans, I dialed Anna's number.

"Hey, Anna."

"Hey, Ash. What's up?"

"Danny and I are going to the amusement park. Would you like to tag along?"

There was silence for a couple of minutes.

"Hello, are you there?"

"Yeah, okay! I'll be free in half an hour. You can come and pick me up," she replied.

"Okay. I'll be there. See you later."

"Bye!" She hung up.

"Alright. I have time. Reading a book with coffee will be awesome." I smiled and headed for the 'Me Café.'

It's a beautiful cafe along with a small beautiful library where you can have coffee and can read books too.

I opened the door and let myself in. The inside of the cafe is beautifully decorated with posters of coffee and books. Small plants resting near the window and on the walls shelf.

It's a warm and soothing place. I ordered a latte macchiato for myself. It's a strong beverage drink and has the same ingredients as a latte but it varies in looks and is made differently.

It is served in a tall glass and has distinctive layers. Firstly the milk is poured at the bottom, followed by expresso at the middle, finally the foam on the top.

"It will take a while, you can check the books there for the time being," a beautiful young lady maybe in her early thirties standing behind the counter said with a smile.

"Okay." I returned her smile and walked to check out the books.

"You can try this one. It's good." I think I startled him because the book fell from his hand. He sighed and turned to look at me.

"Pardon me if I startle you," I said picking up the book.

"What are ya doin' here?" Wallace asked curtly.

"The same thing you are doing here, duh." He eyed me for a moment before uttering, "Who are ya?"

"Have you forgotten me already? It hurts me." I presented a fake hurt expression knowing very well what he means.

"I like it," he smirked, " Let's settle somewhere."

"Any more suggestions!" He pointed at the books picking up the book 'The Tempest' by Shakespeare.

"This one." I pulled out the book 'To kill a Mockingbird' by 'Harper Lee.'

"These are one of the books said to be read before one dies. So I recommend these." I smiled and handed him the book.

We settled on a table near the window. My order came and I took a sip from it.

"Are you alright? You sure, you don't need anything to drink."

"I'm fine," he answered opening the book 'To kill a mockingbird.' He traced his fingers over the paper, staring at it amazed and somewhat perplexed.

"You will understand it, just read it slowly. Okay!?" He nodded.

"by the way, you know Axel." He arched his brow at me.

"That dark-haired boy with cold eyes," I added.

"Hmm." He closed the book and his infamous smirk appeared on his lips.

"I know him more than anyone else." He gazed at me with a pleasing look.

"How?" Now it's my time to frown.

Is he that friend he always talks about?

He clicked his fingers, bringing me back into reality.

"Don't think too hard. He is my step-brother." He smirked.

"Oh, I see."

"Now back to my question. I know you are not human and I know it very well you know who I am so answer me," he uttered leaning forward, a glint of excitement appearing in his eyes.

"I'm the same as you and at the same time, I'm not like you." I teased him.

"Don't play riddles with me! I'm not that smart."

"I know how much smart you are. I have seen you in the lab," I uttered with a smirk.

"Okay, okay. I admit I like chemicals but I'm not good with riddles," he mumbled pouting with pleading eyes.

"Alright!" I let out a sigh.

"I'll tell you only on one condition if you agree to be my friend."

"I don't make friends." He blurted out curtly without giving it even a thought.

I shook my head, disappointed. "You both brothers are the same. He said the same but more violently and he's ignoring me now," I said the last part sadly.

"Haha," he chuckled. "He's like that."

"I would only tell you if you agree to be my friend."

"Alright! But I won't befriend anyone else from your group and I don't want anyone else to know we are friends, not even Axel."

"Why?" I asked narrowing my eyes at him, bewildered by his condition.

"Just agree to it."

"Okay but you have to give me a valid reason."

"I believe having friends is a weakness as they dragged you down and I don't want anyone else to know my weakness."

"Really you believe something so absurd!"

"Having friends is a blessing which only a few receives. Friends make you strong, not weak-" he cut me off.

"Everyone has their beliefs. This is what I believe. You can believe whatever you want, I won't question you but I don't want you to question my beliefs."

"It's alright. I'll prove you wrong." I challenged him smiling.

"We will look when the time comes"- he glanced at the time- " now I'll take my leave. Later." He smiled at me, like, gave me a normal smile for the first time.

I smiled back," See you later." He waved his hand turning around.

With all the arguments, he forgot about that question. Well, it's alright. I'll tell him some other time.
