he never told you
how he felt your darkness too
he never told you
how he saw the worst in people but the best in youand when you died
all the things that were never said
i mourned the future neither of you would ever get to haveas time went on he looked up at that very roof
getting more and more jealous of the man he came to loosehe wondered if he should follow in his lovers steps
your scarf was blue
his heart was too
but the body still bleeds redon the pavement or the wrists
to see you one last time was his only wishso he found himself in that very spot
from two years agooh dear Sherlock
if only he had known•

~inspired by a head canon that john tried to kill himself after sherlock's jump. i'm not sure if i completely subscribe to the theory but it was fun making a poem about it nonetheless. i also don't normally like rhyming in my poetry but i think it gave this poem a sad charm to it.. idk.~
