Adria POV

I stormed into the classroom and found Felix talking intently with none other than Shan, his ex-girlfriend turned into a close friend. After 2 years of relationship, I told him my insecurities about her, how I know deep down she still likes him; I see this. Even though he reassured me that there's nothing going on with them, I still can't seem to move past that issue. Now, I see them touching each other and hugging each other and I feel my eyes getting watery. I was about to go out the door when...

"Adria!" Sapphira yelled through the hallway.

"Where is she?" I hear Kira ask Sapphira.

It was at that moment when Felix turned his head toward me with worry filling his eyes.

"Wait! It's not what you-"

I chose that moment to cut him off.

"I knew it! I can't believe how blind I've been. Shut it with the excuses, I should've seen it. You're still that playboy. I can't believe how stupid I am. Every I love you and I miss you were just lies so I could keep out of your business. I trusted you-"

Felix suddenly nears me and slammed his lips against mine. It took a moment for me to realize what was happening and with that...

*slap*

"How dare you kiss me? Who gave you a right to do that?"

"Adria, wait. I can explain. Nothing's happening between me and-"

"Just shut up. We're done. I believed that I changed you and..." I laugh sarcastically. "I guess I was wrong."

I said and took off immediately with tears streaming down my face. I feel Felix running, following me to my car. I quickly got in, locked the doors and turned on the car.

"Adria, wait." Felix yelled, stopping just in front of my car.

"Move!"

"No, wait. You don't understand."

"Apparently, I didn't understand our whole relationship. Sorry but I didn't sign up for an open relationship much worse, I didn't sign up for all the shit that you've put me through."

"But-"

"Move or I will run over you now!"

He stood there not moving for ten seconds straight.

"You don't think I'll do it? Three" I said and started to count down. "Two" he still stood there with tears streaming down his face. After everything that he has done, he doesn't have a right to just cry and break down. "One." I said and pressed on the gas.

"Felix, move! Snap out of it." Kira suddenly yelled. I wasn't even aware that we had an audience. Our friends, Sapphira and Kira, ran up to him and pulled him away.

"Adria, stop! Stop this instant." Sapphira yelled but I didn't follow her.

Once he was out of my way I drove away, going to random places that reminds me of him while crying my eyes out. After hours of driving and driving, I halted in front of my house wondering why there was another car in front of it.

I got down and when I got to my room, I saw Sapphira and Kira sitting there, looking at me with hurt, pity and understanding in their eyes.

"You okay?" Sapphira asked and after seconds of not answering, she followed "God! Of course, you're not okay." She stood up and hugged me; Kira followed.

"Just cry it out, Ria. Just let it all out." Kira said and I did. I cried for the nth hour of my day.

Sapphira stood up and went outside. After a while, she came back holding three mugs full of mint chocolate chip ice cream, my favorite. Together we just sat on the floor and ate ice cream while watching a show. A show I don't know the title of as I was more busy crying. Three hours later, we all fell asleep.

When I woke up the next day, Sapphira was still asleep and Kira was nowhere to be found. I was about to go out and grab breakfast when Kira walked in, holding a plate of bacon and bowls of cereal.

"Hey, you're awake." She told me.

"Yeah." I said and gave her a little smile.

"How are you? Seriously. How do you feel?"

"Like trash? Can I just say I feel like trash and want to just lay on my bed and not stand up for a whole year?"

"You got to pee somehow, you know that?" She joked, making light of the situation. "But seriously. Do you need us to kill him?"

"Can you just bring him here and let me kill him?" I joked and let out a small laugh. "I just want space you know. I mean I thank you guys so much for staying here with me and not leaving me but I think I'll accept it."

"Accept what?" Sapphira suddenly said, groggily.

"I applied to Yale. I got in. I was about to decline the offer because I didn't want to leave him or you guys. Now though, I think I'll just go."

"What? You can't go. You can't leave us." Sapphira said while crying.

"Yeah, are you sure about that? You know you'll miss us." Kira said.

"I'm sorry, guys. I really think this is the right decision. We can still contact each other. I'll give you my number, call you guys at least once a week. It'll be like I'm still there."

"Oh my God. This is the end of an era." said Kira.

"God, I'll miss you guys, so much."

"When do you plan to leave? We'll take you to the airport." Sapphira inquired.

"I'll leave tomorrow. I better start packing now." I said and stood up getting my luggage.

*The next day*

Kira and Sapphira picked me up from the house and we drove to the airport.

"This is it, you guys. Promise me we'll contact each other?" I said with tears falling from my eyes. I can't stop crying either from the events that happened the day before or just what was currently happening now.

"Promise us you'll call?" Kira said.

"God, promise us you won't replace us?" Sapphira said.

"Of course I won't forget you guys! Let's take a picture and I'll print it right away when I get there. I'll put it in a frame and leave it on my desk." I said and we posed for the camera even if tears were obviously present. I didn't take another one because that picture was so raw, it captured our genuine emotions.

"We'll miss you so much!" Kira said and gave me a hug.

"Take care, okay?" Sapphira followed, giving me a hug.

"I love you both. So much. You've been with me since we were kids and I am so grateful for the both of you. Keep me updated with everything, okay?" I said and hugged them both again. I ran to the luggage check-in before my flight leaves me.

As I turned around and gave the airport one last look, he, who extremely looked like he didn't sleep at all, caught my eye. How did he even know I was here? I shrugged it off and pretended to not see him.

I took a deep breath, smiling genuinely. I lifted my chin up and took a step leaving all the heartaches behind.

Look out world, a stronger Adria is coming.
