Day 5 - Quote

My CLOYtober mind took me down to memory lane during the time when Hyun Bin and Son Yejin were still reviewing the scenario and haven't decided yet whether to accept it or not. But with the help of two quotes, thankfully they did! 😁💕

Where are you right now? I will be there. Tell me what you can see. I can find you.

Hyun Bin was halfway through reviewing the scenario of his new drama offer Crash Landing On You when this quote caught his eye. All of a sudden, a rush of fond memories started coming back, evolving around the single most significant person in his life: his Son YeJin.

After working together in a film, the two became very close friends and started hanging out albeit very cautiously. Hyun Bin observed one interesting trait of Yejin though. She's an intelligent, no-nonsense and well-traveled woman, but she has a poor sense of direction.

One time they were in LA for a quick break, they decided to grab some groceries. The ever-proactive Son Yejin volunteered to go down ahead while Hyun Bin looked for a parking slot to save time. Yejin, who got so ovewhelmed with the good finds and yummy snacks aisle after aisle, forgot where they were supposed to meet -- and unluckily also left her phone behind!

Another time was when they agreed to meet up somewhere in Europe. Bin got a break from shooting in Spain, while Yejin just finished a photo shoot in France. Yejin, who got so awestruck by the mix of nature and architecture of Europe, again lost track where they were supposed to meet.

The same went on for a few more occasions even in Korea: in shopping

centers, golf date meet-ups, surprise trips and so on, leading to their cute arguments on whether men really have better navigation skills than women, to which Bin always willingly concedes.

However, when Yejin can't find her way and even before she begins to panic, Bin never fails to regain his sight of her. He finds her every time no matter where she was. Every single time. And through these moments, Yejin is more convinced that indeed, Hyun Bin is the good person she's been praying for all her life. He makes her feel safe and assured that everything's gonna be alright.

"How come you always know where to find me? I am amazed, Bin-sshi. You are the best navigator ever. You can always keep up with me like no one else can."

"I can't explain it, too, but my heart just knows exactly where you are. It's like my eyes are trained to find you and see only you... I really want to take care of you as long as I live, Yejin-sshi. Can I?"

With that heart-fluttering memory, Bin picked up the phone and dialed Yejin who by now must also be reviewing the script.

"Bin-sshi! I was supposed to call you. I found a quote near the end and I got goosebumps all over! Here, let me read."

In that very moment, they just knew it. In unison both said and agreed.
