Day 11 - Breathe

This prompt was difficult for me because BREATHE is one of my favorite words in the English language. So I hope I was able to use it well through the words of Hyun Bin to his Son Yejin back in their home. 🙏💕

BREATHE

"Also, I am so thankful for Jeong Hyeok’s best partner Yoon Seri, Yejin-ssi.

I believe it was Yejin-ssi who portrayed Yoon Seri so well was what made Ri Jeong Hyeok shine much brighter and helped breathe life into his character."

Actor Hyun Bin wowed the world with his heartfelt speech after winning the Daesang in APAN 2020 Star Awards for his stellar performance in Crash Landing on You. But what caught the most attention was when he made special mention of Capt. Ri's best partner, Yoon Seri. She who allowed his character to breathe.

"You didn't have to mention it Bin-sshi but really, thank you..."

Yejin was talking to herself while watching the broadcast from their home.

She cried tears of happiness that no could hear except her and Kitty, who was resting comfortably on her lap, eyes glued to her Appa on screen.

This is one of her reasons why Yejin chose to stay behind even she herself won an award. More than anything, she knew she wouldn't be able to hold back her tears once her boyfriend takes the stage and delivers his acceptance speech.

Hyun Bin is her strength as he is also her weakness. He is a man of few words but every time he speaks, she listens because his words breathe life to her soul.

And tonight was truly exceptional.

Moments later, Yejin and Kitty felt someone entered from the main door and they were sure that the man of the house has arrived.

With a bouquet of peonies and hydrangeas in one hand, and his trophy in the other, Hyun Bin was welcomed by his girls with too much excitement that Kitty almost slipped on the floor while running towards him.

"You are home. Chukahae, my love."

"Yes, I am. And thank you. These are for you."

Hyun Bin gathered Yejin in his arms, so full of love and gratitude that the woman he has long prayed for is finally with him. A woman who understands, who eats well, has beautiful hands, and with whom he can just be himself to relax and breathe.

"Your speech was beautiful, Bin-sshi. I can't even imagine how it would feel like if I was there watching you in person. But you didn't need to mention me helping you breathe... It was just supposed to be your moment."

"The Daesang is ours. It is mine as much as it is yours. It is you who I have in mind all along -- even way before CLOY.

Yejin gave him a quizzical look. What did he mean by that? Hyun Bin put down the trophy and flowers, and turned Yejin to face him.

"Do you remember what I said years ago way back our TN promo days? I said I wanted to try acting with you in the same space, making eye contact, and breathing the same air with you... You breathe life to me, Yejin-ah."
