Jungkook was currently in a meeting when the door was suddenly opened by someone. Just as he was about to ask who dared to interrupt the meeting, he saw his secretary bowing and apologizing before quickly saying, “President Jeon, the madam says she needs you urgently for something so I didn’t dare delay.”

When he saw indeed that Xin Lisa was right behind her, he quickly turned around and asked, “Why are you here?”

Xin Lisa responded, “I needed you urgently for something. Do you mind availing yourself for a moment?”

Jungkook nodded and ordered them to continue the meeting. Then, he took her hand and headed back into his office.

As soon as the door was closed, Jungkook got rid of his expressionless mask and asked with a smile, “Honey, why are you here?”

“If I didn’t come, I’m just worried I’d have to see you in the hospital tonight.”

Jungkook seemed to have understood something. Assistant Wang must have called her earlier. “I’m fine, honey. Don’t listen to Assistant Wang, he’s just getting worked up over nothing.”

Xin Lisa got on her tiptoes and touched his forehead. “I’ll judge for myself if you’re fine or not. Now, be good and go sit down on the chair.”

Jungkook was speechless…

When Xin Lisa came over, she had already prepared everything. First, she took his temperature. It was 38.7°C.

As soon as Xin Lisa saw the number, her tone was serious. “You have such a serious fever and you still say you’re fine? First, take the medicine.” Then, she passed him some medicine and water.

Jungkook looked at it for a while and said, “I don’t need it. It’ll go down on its own after tomorrow.”

“No. I’m worried.”

Those simple words caused Jungkook to surrender.

After taking the medicine, Xin Lisa went home with him. Immediately, she pushed him into the room and told him to sleep for a while. He’ll only get better after sweating it out for a bit.

After waking up from his nap, the sky had already turned dark.

During the red carpet interview, a reporter asked Jungkook how he felt about the debut.

Jungkook was not very compliant and said, “No comments.”

Xin Lisa who was holding his arm nearly let out a laugh.

The reporter was speechless for half a minute before turning the mic to Xin Lisa instead. “Host Xin, do you think you’ll win anything this award ceremony?”

Xin Lisa responded very briefly. “If fate wills it.”

It would be lucky if she did, but it would only be normal if she didn’t get it. It was all up to fate.

Fortunately, the results were satisfactory and Xin Lisa won the Golden Microphone Award.

After heading on stage to get her award and to give her acceptance speech, Xin Lisa thanked everyone, especially those she loved.

The camera panned to Jungkook’s face that was smiling lightly, instantly triggering a scream from the audience.

Xin Lisa met his warm gaze and continued, “Thank you for coming into my life. I asked you what you would do if I wasn’t by my side, and you told me that the only person you’ll love in your life is me. Today, I would also like to take this opportunity to say, I love you!”
