After Yin Ji Eun returned, she stayed up the entire night to get a rough draft out. She showed it to her editor in charge the second day, but she was a little displeased. “The content is pretty good, but it doesn’t mention that much about Jeon Jaehyun’s relationships. Why don’t you add a bit about that wherever you see fit?”
Yin Ji Eun felt like she was in a difficult situation since she needed to fix the draft again. She really didn’t dare to inquire about Jaehyun’s relationship. Back then, she felt like if she dared to ask him that question, he would’ve fallen out with her right then.
Under desperation, she could only fix it according to her imagination.
Therefore, when Jaehyun received the initial draft and saw that he apparently didn’t have time to date anyone because he was focused on his career, and that he’d spend the upcoming period on work as well, he sent her an email. “You really understand me, Miss Yin.”
Yin Ji Eun saw this email just before she was about to sleep.
She naturally knew that Jaehyun was mocking her. She said to herself, “You speak really highly of me. Since when do I understand you? How dare I?” She muttered this but she typed out, “Mr. Jeon, are there any issues? If there are, you can mark it down. I will fix it.”
Jaehyun glanced at her business-like response and smiled. He replied, “The entire draft has issues!”
Not long after she sent the email, she refreshed it to see a new reply. She almost fainted from anger. She spent so much effort in writing this, yet he found it unacceptable?
“Mr. Jeon, where are the issues?”
“There are issues everywhere. I just told you.”
“Jeon Jaehyun!”
“What?”
Yin Ji Eun was really anxious and mad. She rummaged through her cabinet and found his business card, dialing the number on it. It rang once before it went through. She said immediately, “Jeon Jaehyun, can you not cause me trouble? Even if I hurt your dignity the other day and made you feel like you lost your face, you don’t need to hold a grudge for that long.”
“Oh, so you knew that you made me lose my face the other day too?”
“Jeon Jaehyun, if you’re angry, I can apologize to you, okay? Please don’t make things difficult for me at work. Didn’t you say you don’t mix personal and business matters?”
“You think I’m making things difficult for you?”
“Are you not?”
Jaehyun smiled. “I genuinely think the draft isn’t that good. I’m not targeting you.”
Yin Ji Eun clenched her teeth and said, “I’ll fix it.”
“Whatever.”
“Bye.” Yin Ji Eun hung up right after.
Jaehyun glanced at the phone number and thought about it. After a moment of hesitation, he clicked save in the end.
Yin Ji Eun fixed the draft about a total of a dozen times or so before Jaehyun reluctantly deemed it passable.
Yin Ji Eun really wanted to thank him and she politely did in the end.
Yet, Jaehyun asked, “You’re just thanking me like that?”
Yin Jaehyun knitted her brows and asked on alert, “What else do you want to do then?”
“You should at least treat me to a meal.”
Yin Ji Eun responded, “I think we won’t have an opportunity to dine together.”
“How do you know you won’t have an opportunity if you don’t invite me?”
“…” Yin Ji Eun was speechless, but she noticed that she didn’t even want to eat with him anymore.
As expected, it was better to enjoy his handsome face from a distance.
