"Yiga clan attack!" Ritos dive bombed everywhere as Yiga clansmen invaded from every entrance.

"Hide." Revali's mother said. "Or flee, just don't get caught."

The door flew open as a blademaster blasted it out the window.

"I can fight!" Revali said. "I can help!"

"Just go!" She said and leaped onto the blademaster.

Yiga footsoldiers raced inside from almost every direction. Revali jumped out the window and tried to flap.

He fell down, down, down. Trying to stay afloat he vigorously flapped his tiny wings.

Nothing worked. He was still falling.

Something caught him, and he opened his eyes.

His brother had caught him, in the nick of time.

"Saw you falling from the sky. Thought you might need some help." He said.

"Thank you!" Revali wrapped his wings around his neck, hugging him.

"So," He said, his tone getting serious. "Why were you falling from our house?"

Revali explained about the blademaster busting in and footsoldiers slipping in from every creverce.

His brother's expression became even more serious.

"Okay, I want you to find dad. Bring him to the house. I'll go help mom."

Revali nodded and raced up the stairs.

His feet clicked on the wooden floors and stairs, pattering against the chocolate wood.

Racing towards his father who was locked in combat with a blademaster, he leaped onto the barrel, and lost his footing. Tumbling down and slamming face first into the ground.

"Dad! Some Yiga burst into the house!" Revali yelled. "They're attacking mom!"

"What?" His father kicked the blademaster away and flew towards their house.

Revali flapped but only managed to stir up wind.

The blademaster was getting up, and Revali ran. Faster than ever.

He skidded to a halt in front of the house, being greeted with silence.

"Hello?" Revali pushed the door open and almost gasped.

His mother was lying in a pool of red liquid next to his brother. Both had lifeless eyes and Limp wings.

"No! Please talk!" Revali shook his mother gently.

"It's your fault." HIs father stepped out of the shadows, a cold expression on his face. "If you had gotten there sooner. If you hadn't been a clumsy penguin. This would have never happened." He spat.

"I tried, I really did!" Revali nearly sobbed. "I tried to be-"

"Silence."

Revali squeaked and stumbled back.

"You're useless." He spat. "If you could fly, this could have been avoided. If you could be more like a great Rito you would have stopped the fight, or died defending those you care for. You're nothing but a weakling."

"No! I really tried, I promise!" Revali let tears start streaming down his face.

"Stop crying!" His father smacked him with an arrow, cutting his face slightly. "I knew you were weak. From the moment you hatched."

"I can be better next time!" He said shakily.

"There won't BE a next time. I'm done. I'm leaving." His father glared at him intensely.

"No! Please stay!" Revali yelled as his father jumped out the window and flew away. "Dad! Come back!"

It wasn't much use. He was already too far away.

Revali curled up next to his mother's limp body and sobbed.
