After kicking Astor's butt and destroying him entirely, Zelda turned to the blights.
They needed to go. Sealed away so they shouldn't awaken.
She couldn't seal them forever. Once fate chose a new set of champions, they would break out.
"I, Zelda, princess of hyrule, will seal you four. You cannot awaken until fate sets your path."
Zelda hoped this would buy everyone enough time.
The future of Hyrule was (for now) safe.
