"i swear, you're an idiot!" Jenny yells from the other side of my bedroom, laughing as she throws me the towel i "accidentally" hit her in the face with. "whatever, like you aren't an idiot?" i ask, tossing the towel into the laundry bin while spinning in my chair. "im an idiot and proud of it" she proclaims as she jumps off my bed and stands with her hands on her hips. "da da da DA!" she yells, falling to the ground from laughing to hard. i turn around to resume my work at reblogging on tumblr until i hear Jenny go silent. "woah! whats with the sudden quite? you are never quite!" i jokingly proclaim as i spin around to face her.
"i forgot to give this to you, i realzed its tomorrow... Happy late birthday!" she says with a smile on her face as she hands me an envelope. "you already got me the shirt!" i said, taking the envelope and beginning to tear the edge. "well, i thought i would make your birthday by giving you this, i know you wanted if for a long time!" she says, grinning like an idiot. whats up with her? i tear back the paper and pull out the white folded paper covered in magic marker. 'to my bestest buddy ever, love the coolest cat on the block, Jenny' it read. i open the creased paper and two things fall to the floor. i lean down to pick them up and flip them over. "oh my god! Jenny! no! you! no!" i yell. they were Of Mice & Men concert tickets for tomorrow night! i screamed as i projected forward to hug her. "you are my favourite now!" i yell, jumping up and down.
"you have to take me!" she says, taking one of the tickets from my hands and waving it around. "fine! okay! anthing for the person who just made my life!" i scream as i hug her again. i let her go and sit on the floor, holding my ticket between my fingers "wait..." i pause... my heart drops... "my mom is going to work that day... its all the way in Atlanta.... how am i going to go if i have no ride..." i say, staring at the perfectly printed words on the paper. i begin to grow even more sad as the seconds pass by until she finally spoke.
"that's the beauty of having someone like me!" she exclaims as she sits next to me on the floor. "i already talked to your mom, im going to drive us down there and we will stay the night at the hotel my family has connections with, and we can drive back the next day!" she says, now shes really full of it! "thank you!" i scream. today really has been the best day of my life... atleast until tomorrow night...
