MAX'S POV

I sat in my office, fiddling around with my pen and the papers around me. It was the paperwork for the newbies, liabilities, work, and other important papers. I looked down at the names of some of the vampires.

"Honey Newman, Leila Goodbar, Janelle Hersh", were the first three I read. Both Janelle and Honey wanted to be Vampyrians.I chuckled at the integrity of the two and placed their files to the side, as a womanly figure walked into the room.

She began to walk around, slowly scanning the room. I looked up, and she did the same, as our eyes locked and we looked at one another.

"Angel." I said in a whispered hush, and she looked at me with the sane stoic expression.

"Hello." She said, forcing no emotion, although there should've been some behind it.

I sat in silence as her finger slid against all the objects in my room. It was as if she was observing, relearning and reteaching.

"It feels so surreal." She began to say, and looked up at me.

"No one thinks that they will ever live after they've died." She finished, and looked away again.

"Words cannot express how surreal it is for me, to see you again. After you've died." I said in response.

"But you didn't die. You didn't experience the pain that I felt. I should be the one with the loss of words." She said, as a tear fell down her face.

I grabbed a tissue from the Kleenex box on my desk and stood up handing it to Anabelle. She took it, gave me a thanks and wiped the tears from her face.

"Why am I the first person you've come to see?" I asked. She nodded gently, and placed her arm on my shoulder as it began to shiver violently.

"While I was, well, dead-" she said chuckling.

"I got to see my dad again. It was the most pleasant experience that I've ever experienced here at this coven. He saw me, and I literally ran into his arms, as if I were a little child again." She said and looked up at me.

"He said 'Pumpkin' and so many flooding memories, so many that I just broke down into his arms." She said with a forced smile, her face covered in wet tears. There was a knock at the door, as Derek opened the door. I looked up at him.

"You in here talking to yourself?" he asked, and I looked around. Anabelle was gone.

"No..." I said, and looked around.

"You look spooked." He chuckled, and something stamped my foot, I scream as the pain coursed to the heel of my foot. Derek looked up at me on confusion, and I looked at him. He walked over to me, and then he was pushed back.

"Anabelle." I said to the air, and there was a slight giggle.Derek smirked and reached out into the air, and began to yank at something. Anabelle screamed, became visible and slapped him across the face.

"Don't pull my hair!" She exclaimed. Derek held his face and looked up at her.

"Nice to see you again." He responded and she smiled.

"I missed your shanenigans." She answered.

"You missed so much." He said excitedly, and hugged Anabelle.

"Its been a couple of years of course I did." She laughed.

"Since when were you this close to Max, a doctor in his office?" She said with a sarcastic edge.I sat at my desk, and Anabelle sat on top of it. Derek smiled and leaned against the bookcase.
