Chapter 1 - New Dawn

It all started with the return of Trans-Dimensional War, one of the worst of all. A conflict that threatened not only one world, but the whole, even the balance of reality itself. All of history since its inception had been a permanent fight between the forces of good and evil in order to maintain this balance ... And today, this force was still represented, by the unique and powerful union of two souls, so distant but yet closer than ever, united by fate ...

Evilyn, the dark queen of demons, tried to destroy this union in order to unite with the being she wanted the most, in order to manipulate him and establish with him a new dimensional order over which she could reign for eternity. However, she failed and was forever defeated by that same power that she herself had underestimated.

A fragile peace was then born between the monsters of Lapland and the humans.

But this peace was severely threatened six months later, when another demon named Vexus, brother of the late Evilyn, in turn attempted to break this balance and avenge the death of his sister, through his legions of invisible demons and by that unfathomable chaos he called his eternal nightmare of destruction. But after a bitter struggle, once again that love so powerful that united this Monsterman and this young human woman, strengthened, was able to defeat Vexus and drive away forever the eternal nightmare he wished to spread on the world...

Mr. Lordi remembered all this very well, as if all these events had only happened yesterday. And yet, it had now been two years since Vexus was defeated. Two years already, he thought. Of course he also recalled with great pleasure all those moments with Emily ... Their first meeting, their first kiss, all these fights and journeys they had had to lead together, their dance during the ball to celebrate their victory against Vexus ... And also other more intimate and personal moments that made him smile and blush when he think about it.

Still dressed in his gunmetal gray armor with three spikes on each shoulder, Mr. Lordi stood on his bedroom balcony, in his mansion in the back of the Oakville's Park, the human town around which the monsters had now settled for those two years.

He rested his clawed hands on the marble balcony railing, silently admiring the star-studded sky on that chilly winter night. Her gaze then fell on the trees and grass surrounding her mansion, all covered in a thin layer of snow and frost. The air was very cold, but not unpleasant either, with the monsters tolerating the cold much better than the humans. The sight almost reminded him of the Lapland in winter, and it made him smile softly. He also thought of Emily, who was at home, imagining that she must already be sleeping in her bed by the late hour that it was. He still smiles, knowing she was safe. Mr. Lordi was calm, but also thoughtful.

Despite the attack on Vexus two years ago, peace with humans was able to be maintained, but was weakened. A non-aggression agreement had been signed between the two peoples, allowing the monsters to be able to stay, but on the condition that they stay away from human dwellings. Much hostility on the part of humans had been manifested following this decision, and not only in Canada and the United States, but also all over the world, such as in Europe or Asia. Many people around the world expressed their contempt and anger towards monsters, accusing them of every evil imaginable, and seeing them as the harbinger of the end of time. But with hatred, religion also mingled. More and more occult groups were forming in the world, worshiping the monsters as gods who had come to save humanity. These occult groups clashed more and more with other human religions, which only accentuated a tension that was already palpable.
