In Canada...

Since the appearance of the large black prism with glowing spirals in the sky above the forest, a wave of terror and panic had unleashed throughout the city. Acts of madness and violence of all kinds were reported all over the neighborhoods, and increased dramatically, ranging from simple brawls to armed murders. The police, fire and hospital forces had been completely overwhelmed for a few hours. Several television stations had arrived, standing at a great distance from the forest and all the cameras filming relentlessly this huge triangular object which disrupted the climate in the surroundings, creating a growing maelstrom just above it.

A reporter, warmly dressed for the winter, her microphone in hand, was filmed and spoke live.

_ "It has now been four hours since the unidentified giant object appeared in the sky and still has not moved. However, since its appearance, the temperature has dropped abnormally, the animals have all fled the surroundings and a Murderous madness began in the city and its surroundings, extending as far as Toronto. The army has been dispatched to try to find out more about this object, but for many people it is. would act again as a menacing manifestation from the monsters who have elected homes near Oakville for several years now. We are staying live and will keep you updated as this story evolves ..."

Further out in the park towards the Monsterman Mansion, the situation was even more tense than it was a few hours ago. Mr. Lordi, Emily and the others had seen, as they unfortunately expected, trucks of the military forces from the base which was installed not far from the town. Equipped and armed soldiers, in whole groups, had crisscrossed the area, bringing with them heavy artillery like tanks. Magnum was there too, having arrived a few moments before the soldiers and having learned what had happened during the night.

Unsurprisingly, the military had surrounded the mansion and were all casting more than suspicious glances at the group of monsters. Some of them even showed anger but held back. Emily could see they looked at her the same way. She chose to ignore them, knowing all too well what it was like to feel judged for her choices, but as usual, fully assumed.

One of the soldiers, who arrived in a jeep, stood out from the others by his uniform decorated with several medals, his military cap, and the way in which the soldiers greeted him respectfully. The man, closer to his fifties than his forties, sported a firm gaze, graying mustache and a very clean shaven chin. Escorted by two men, he took a firm step towards Mr. Lordi who chose to stand before him, with Emily at his side, and also Awa, in her capacity as ambassador of the monsters. Meanwhile, Ox, Amen, Kita, and Magnum stayed near the manor gate, remaining on their guard and keeping an eye on the human soldiers. The tension there was so palpable it could be cut with a knife.

_ "I am Commander Justin Hopkins, I run the Omega base responsible for the protection and surveillance of this area." the man spoke, straight and hands behind his back, showing no emotion on his face.

_ "My name is Mr. Lordi, lord of Lapland and all monsters ..."

_ "I know who you are ..." added the commander in a cold tone. "... Your legend precedes you. We also know the names of the others, like you, Lady Awa of Paysant, you who claim yourself to be the ambassador of your people ... And you, Miss Emily ..."

_ "I am his one and true love." Emily said, coming to take Mr. Lordi's hand.

A few mocking and disgusted sneers were heard among the soldiers. Emily glared at them. Mr. Lordi also didn't like it, but chose not to let his anger get the better of him, managing to contain himself. Awa, meanwhile, showed a look of dismay at the narrow-mindedness displayed by these men.

_ "Um, yes ..." Hopkins said staying more than serious and clearing his throat before continuing. "In short, know that I have nothing against you, personally. My duty is to ensure the security and peace of my homeland and of my world. But since your arrival here, this security and this peace have been constantly threatened, like those two demon attacks that occurred two years ago, and where in each of them, a great number of our men have died!"
