The stars make me feel not so alone
As I picture purple galaxies
Burning bright like a million lanterns
As they float up into the void
They shine with an innocent lustre
As divine as holy fire
Swirling like the darkest ink
Awakening upon the page
Galaxies burn out
Like candles overnight.
The saddest truth
Is that you did too.
Infinity awaits us,
At the end of the line.
As the light at the end of the tunnel
Dissolves into the night.
