I have chosen a solitary life, as a writer. I notice it now with a damning certainty. My separation from others by my words, all these words, cloaking me in an impenetrable mist. I will never truly surrender, never truly let myself go. I already live a thousand lives between each breath. I have already lived my life a thousand times when I close my eyes.
