tea groaned softly, sitting up and stretching until their back popped. they looked around the room, confusion riddled across their face. they remembered bits and pieces of what had happened yesterday, but not everything. and what they did remember hardly made any sense.

they got to their feet, immediately noticing they could feel the floorboards beneath their feet. huh... strange. they knew for sure they hadn't gone out without shoes yesterday, but they couldn't seem to remember ever taking them off. tea shrugged this off for now and went to go find one of the other boys.

it didn't take long for that to happen. tea followed the sound of soft radio static until they found sweet. he was kneeling behind the store counter and rummaging through some boxes on its shelves. tea nudged him and he looked at them over his shoulder. sweet made an excited sound and jumped up to hug tea.

"hey!! are you feeling better? we were really worried about you," sweet held onto tea's shoulders as they said that last bit. tea smiled slightly, turning a knob on the side of sweet's head until the static noise stopped. sweet muttered a thank you, sounding embarrassed.

"yeah, i think so. just a little fuzzy on the details of what happened yesterday," tea said, going to scratch their head but hissing in pain when they tried to touch it. the spot that they'd hit was still sore.

sweet nodded. "so are we. that weird dude didn't make much sense when he told us what happened to you." tea's eyes widened. that strange little man... had helped them so much. and they never thanked him. they'd have to do that when they were fully healed.

"maybe if we get the other two in here, we can try to piece together what happened all together? i remember some stuff, but other parts are just.. missing," tea explained, their voice getting a bit quieter near the end of their last sentence. it was unsettling to them to be unable to recall everything that happened.

sweet nodded once again, this time rushing through the door that was on the wall behind the counter. tea shuffled back over to the couch and sat down, waiting for everyone.

it didn't take long for sweet to convince the other two to come see tea. pretty much as soon as he'd told k_k and cap'n that they were awake, they were already hurrying into the room. tea snickered as the boys playfully shoved each other around while making their way over.

k_k sat on the floor facing tea while sweet and cap'n both sat on the couch on either side of their friend. cap'n grinned and went to ruffle tea's hair, but stopped himself right before his hand could touch their head. he'd forgotten that they were even hurt. tea always tried to act tough around the three of them...

"oh, so that's why you weren't wearing your usual clothes this morning k_k!" sweet said, looking directly at tea. they were confused for a moment until they looked down and saw they were wearing one of k_k's shirts. it was pretty big on them. tea's face went red.

"not!! like that!!" k_k screeched, his face heating up as well. sweet and cap'n cackled, sinking into the couch from how hard they were laughing. cap'n fell off the couch. tea hid their face with their hands and screamed softly in embarrassment.

as soon as the laughter died down, k_k cleared his throat awkwardly and explained that he'd woken tea up after realizing it probably wasn't good for him to sleep in wet clothes. he gave them one of his shirts to change into and they shuffled off. tea tilted their head slightly. they didn't remember that. they likely weren't coherent enough at that moment to know what was going on.
