[bxb] The Moon's Embrace

Chapter 5

What was once bright, hot, and loud, was now dark, cold, and silent. 

Alex felt the creeping cold of air moving slowly beneath his feet. He was sitting on a chair with his hands tied behind, he also felt his feet tied against the front legs of the chair. 

Something was covering his eyes, preventing him too see anything. He shook his head trying to see if he could sense something that could give him an idea to what was happening. His heart was beating so rapidly that he could feel it in his ears. 

He was panicking inside but still tried his best to remain calm. 

'It's fine.. I'll be fine...Hugo will- '

 Alex suddenly heard footsteps and faced its direction. He heard the footsteps walking towards where his body was facing and stopped. 

Alex spoke out in rage. "Y..you! Are you the one who kidnapped me!?" 

Chilling winds swept passed him and the blindfold on him flew away. Alex opened his eyes and quickly looked around. Everything was still dark and cold other than the moon's light reflecting on the window. In front of him was a dark figure just sitting. 

Alex suffered at the cold but continued to looked at the figure intently. The person across him stood up and walked in front of him.

When Alex saw the figure's face his eyes widened.

"YOU?!"

He couldn't believe his eyes. It was that old woman at the market!

The old woman smiled before black aura covered her body. When the aura dispersed, a pale woman who looked like in her mid 20's  wearing a black long gown stood before him.

What really made the woman stand out was the color of her eyes. It was red as the color of blood, it was too horrifying to stare at.

"So this was where you were hiding.."

Alex wouldn't dare stare at her eyes and could only look away. With one hand, the woman forcefully cupped his face and faced it to her direction.

She was enraged and questioned:

"What? Do you think so highly of yourself now that you wouldn't even dare to look at someone you think are unworthy?"

"How could I-"

Her enraged expression quickly changed then she snickered.

"What else's can I expect from someone like you?" She laughed.

Alex was confused. Why would she suddenly kidnap him? Was it because he bumped into her this morning? That's too much!

"Are you that mad about earlier that you had to kidnap me at this point?"

She then stopped laughing. She stared at him as if she was ready to kill him if he said anymore.

"Mad?... Mad doesn't even begin to express how much I hate you!!!"
