KSA's singing contest; Neji's surprise

The day that everybody crossed fingers for was finally here; the final round of the singing competition. It was going to be exciting, seeing duos sing in a language they vaguely understood so most of the school's population was there— even if they weren't going to understand anything either.

Well some students understand and some students don't take Iruka's class too seriously enough. All that matters is that this would be fun.

Konohamaru and Moegi welcomed everybody, reintroduced the judges and reminded everyone of how to vote for their favorite contesters via the school's unofficial website.

"Ladies and gentlemen, the moment you've been waiting for is finally here." Konohamaru's words sent a thrill to the audience and they responded with series of claps and whistles.

"For the first act of the day, let give a warm welcome our very own exotic princess, Sabaku no Temari and her partner, Nara Shikamaru!"

* cue the cheers from the audience and background music as they both come on. *

As the background music played, Temari danced around a sly looking Shikamaru, like a seductive dance but not quite. Shikamaru, surprisingly, acted his part and danced to her beat.

"Damn, Temari must've tortured him so bad if he's complaint like this." Kankuro whistled from his seat among the audience.

After their short dance which was a prelude the the story their song was about to tell, Shikamaru and Temari started singing.

On that endnote by Temari, everybody rose to their feet and cheered loudly. The performance was half seductive, showing the tension between the two lovers depicted by Shikamaru and Temari, and the audience could feel the thrills from their seats.

Maybe they felt it because there IS tension between Shikamaru and Temari. Ahem, just saying.

"Wow, that was a hot performance." Moegi fanned herself with her hand to prove her point.

"I could feel the heat from where I was." Konohamaru added.

"Ladies and gentlemen, that was Sabaku no Temari and Shikamaru." The audience clapped.

"Next up is the  lady with the cherry blossom hair. Give it up for Haruno Sakura and her partner, Yamanaka Ino!"

Soft music began to play as the stage curtain rose on the best friends. They stood back to back as the climax hit.
