The recuperative class was quiet, a first for the otherwise rowdy lot. Kakashi looked around at his students with tired eyes. Most of them weren't even paying him attention. Some of them were slumped over their desks because of tiredness from their self induced punishment. He still didn't know why they did that.

"Good morning everyone." Kakashi sounded. As if snapping from a haze, Tenten rushed to her feet and instructed the class to do same. They bowed and greeted tiredly. The silver haired teacher dropped the class attendance on his desk. "Why so gloomy everyone? Look alive. We have a transfer student."

That got their attentions. Kiba perked up from his desk. "Transfer student? It's almost the end of the term." Everyone had the same thought as he did. It was too late for a new student.

"Maa. He recently moved to Konoha so he has to transfer here. Let's give him a warm welcome now. Come in Sora-kun."

At Kakashi's beckoning a boy entered the class. His school uniform shirt hung off his shoulders like he was a cloth hanger— it was too big on him but he seemed to like it that. The boy stood at an average height, a few inches taller than Kiba and had chopped ear length dark hair.

His brown eyes caught Naruto's blue ones and held it. It made the blond uneasy and puzzled. "My name is Sora. I have no intention of making any friends so don't bother. I will talk to whoever I please." The boy introduced himself brusquely, all the while keeping eye contact with Naruto.

"Che. What a dick." Not one to hold back from insulting other people Kiba threw one at him immediately after his last word. "Do you see anybody kissing your ass here?"

"Maa Kiba, nice words." Kakashi reprimanded before Sora could retort. The boy clicked his tongue.

"Why is Kiba in the wrong? The ass started it." Tenten spoke in defense of her classmate.

"Yeah. Who is he to walk in and act like a diva?" Karui pointed bitterly at Sora whose deigning eyes never even left Naruto.

"What the hell man? Stop being creepy." The blond said after it got annoying. Sora made Sai look like an angel in comparison. He was a word greater than rude.

The boy with chopped hair closed his eyes then and scoffed. "In case it wasn't clear to you baboons, I refuse to interact with people that are beneath me. If that hurts you then I suggest you find bottom crawlers like you to play with." He turned to a speechless Kakashi. "Sensei, can I take my seat now?"

"Sure." The man consented. "Somebody keep Kiba from throttling the new student please." He instructed when he saw the fanged boy preparing to stand and start a class fight. It physically pained Shikamaru to be the one keeping a leash on Kiba (A/N: get the joke I pulled there?) but he was the closest to the boy.

Kakashi admonished the class on good behaviour and kindness but he didn't think they were listening. He sighed inwardly. Was this how his teachers and classmates felt when he was still a jerk? Fortunately for him the bell rang and he was free. For now.

Classes had been an easy affair until lunch break when Sora rudely pushed Choji out of the way. "Out of my way, fatty."

The F word lit a flame in Choji that made him raise his fist. If not for Shikamaru, Sora would have gotten hit by the angry boy. "Hey." The lazy genius called Sora back. The other paused to regard him. "Look. I don't know what your problem is but I don't think you should go about acting this way. You would cross a boundary."

Sora sneered. "Like I care. If the fatty can't handle being called what he is then he should go home to his fat mama or stick to the gym."

"Hey!"
