delirious

Delirious I danced

In my head no one is watching

No one is watching you in my head

I held the arms of the night

And ran through a field

Purple grass whispered to my shoe

“don’t talk, you are going to spoil the night”

Your hands in your lap,

Your heart asleep

Your head talking to the darkness

You were naked

You ate my wrists when making love to me

Touching my heart with your finger

Biting my flesh, fresh and warm

My mouth trembled

I was scared

Then you went to bed alone

Lighting a candle to block mine

To hide me in her tears

I don’t breathe

I could wake the ocean up

But where did it come from?

My eyes.

From my mouth comes blood.

You sneaked out

Opened my windows

Talked to the air

Secrets i heard

Because i was there

Sleeping in your eyelashes

Curled up in your armpit

You smelled like fire

But your skin was so cold

I froze. Forever, I thought.

Then the wind was gone

And you went back to bed

I wonder what you are like

Under the rain?

Inside your house?

Who are you when you kiss a girl?

A boy? A ghost? A god?

I want to sleep.

Please let me.

On your tongue.

In the space between your eyes.

Your heart is sorrowful

Your skin is frailer than my nails.

Do not steal my fields,

My dance.

Even if I cry,

Don not steal my night’s arms.

My purple color.

Love is mine. And the night.

You are not.

You are my friend.

You once were

When you were a stranger

You are my friend

Without being a stranger.
