I never thought Kazutora would go through with stealing that bike for Mikey alone. Why didn't I get Kazutora instead! I'm a fucking fool!
How could I have not thought of that!? I can't believe it.

Sitting in the waiting room of the hospital was silent. We sat there all together but no one said a word. Mikey and I beside one another and Emma on the other side of me. She had rested her head on my shoulder as she cried softly into my sleeve soaking it.

"Nagito?" A doctor said.

Grandfather and I stood to our feet, "follow me please.."

We walked a bit down a long hallway, the walk felt like it was forever. Just tell me about Kyo. I screamed in my head.

"Are you Kyo Nagitos family?" He questioned.
"Yes, I am his grandfather and this is his sister." I had nodded at him.
"Alright, Kyo is alive....." he said and that's all I heard for a couple seconds as the doctor continued to speak.

"He received quit the hit to the head and neck but he's alive. His brain scans show no sign of damage. He will stay a couple nights for observation but he should make a decent recovery. I recommend he takes it easy for the following months as he did get hit pretty hard."

I collapsed to my knees. My brother is still here, but what about Shinichiro? Did he die? Is he uhh alive!!!

We finished up talking to the doctor and where able to go see Kyo for a bit. He wasn't awake so we just stood there beside him as he slept.
I rubbed his wrist and arm as I looked over at him bandaged up.
"It's a blessing he's alive." My grandfather smiled at me.
I didn't say anything I don't think I could I just looked at my wounded brother and continued rubbing his arm.

We had made it back down to the waiting area where everyone sat. I walked to Takashi "any update?" I sighed
"Yes they pulled them to the back. How's Kyo?"
"He's alive. And he'll be alright." I faintly smiled.

We heard a awful scream from the hallway and I wanted to rush and hold them but I didn't. We had all stood to our feet as we waited for them to return to us.

"They said Shinichiro is brain dead"

I think my heart stopped. I watched in horror as Emma and Mikey screamed.

"Please no!" Mikey yelled I didn't care now I threw my arms around him and let him yell into me as much as he needed.
"Cry Mikey. Cry! I am here for you! We all are" I had pulled Emma in now too I knew she was hurting.  The weight of them was getting tough to carry we had fell to the tile floor.

I don't know how long we stayed like that but eventually Draken had pulled us up off the floor.
"We should go" Pah said as he tried to hold up a inconsolable Emma.

The next day we had made our way to the shrine, no one was saying anything as we all grouped together.
Finally Mikey decided to break the silence.

"We decided to keep Shinichiro on life support for now."
"Is that what they want?" Baji asked
"No. I don't think keeping him like that is what Shinichiro would have wanted for himself." Emma sobbed.

"Just for the time being we will see and hopefully some miracle happens."
