Finding out the ambulance was gone felt like a setback until Beverly questioned about the GPS on the vehicle. Jack smiled proudly at Beverly as she successfully was able to track down the missing ambulance. While Jack, Beverly, and the rest of the FBI agents with their guns got out of their large cars and approached the ambulance feet away.

Will could feel Hannibal’s eyes everywhere, being mindful of all their surroundings. Although that alarm in his head was ringing low, Will remained near his alpha. Hannibal appreciated it, not wanting to protectively pull the omega near him.

Both wendigos could hear Jack firmly ordering Mr. Silvestri to put his hands up. Hannibal and Will stayed beside each other until Jack was calling out for the alpha. The couple shared one look before Hannibal strode off to aid the situation. Will watched his mate enter the ambulance while Mr. Silvestri exited the vehicle.

Will had followed the direction his mate went and stood feet away from Jack, watching his mate stop the bleeding of the person inside the ambulance. Jack and the others approached Mr. Silvestri while Will stepped closer to the ambulance, his eyes captivated by Hannibal.

Abruptly, that alert was ringing boisterously. Once again, it was not a dangerous one, but a warning, nonetheless.

He looks normal.

His own words he used to describe the Ripper - the way he saw the killer - were all coming back to him at once. He did not need to question why though.

And nobody can tell what he is.

He knew Hannibal used to be a surgeon and that he decided going with psychology not long after. While he observed his mate go deeper into the human flesh, other thoughts plagued his mind that were not too tasty. Yet at the same time, he was not necessarily hot and bothered by it like others might.

Hannibal and he made eye contact for a split second. It was then and there that made it everything clear. Will knew and Hannibal knew that he knew too.

He could see everything Hannibal was, apart from the obvious fact that he was a wendigo, which he was already aware of. Will could see the side of Hannibal that he concealed from everyone. It was not what he was, but who he was.

His alpha was the Chesapeake Ripper.

The Chesapeake Ripper was not donating organs. He was eating them and only Will knew why that was a hundred percent true.

Right after Hannibal saved the person in the ambulance, Will was instructed to head back to the BAU where the official report was being finalized with the conclusion of who the killer had been. Will was not able to even speak to Hannibal since Jack whisked him away into one of the cars as they headed back to the BAU with Beverly.

Although the car ride was silent, there was no peace or quiet in his mind. There were too many thoughts wandering his mind. His epiphany haunted him like a harrowing past that would always be there.

Once they were back in the BAU, the three went for Jack’s office. Will stood with a blank stare while Jack’s mouth was moving but his words were not audible to him. The Chesapeake Ripper case was undeniably a journey of ups and downs with twists and turns you would never anticipate. Everything Jack or Beverly said was in one ear and came out of the other.

“Will?” It was Jack. He shook his head to clear his thoughts for a moment. Jack was watching at him uncomfortably. “Is everything fine?” Will replied nonverbally with a simple nod. Jack resumed with what he was saying, his eyes landing on Will from time to time.
