Will was not wrong when he told Jack that the Chesapeake Ripper would never be easy to find. He even gave the impression that the serial killer would never be caught. Jack took the many chances he got and swore to find the Ripper for Miriam Lass's sake. Will had never seen Jack so determined before on a case. Of course, every case he took earnestly, but this one was different.

Sadly, for Jack, the Ripper would be the one that got away.

What was expected of him? Was he supposed to reveal his mate and let him be fed to the wolves? They would irrefutably deem him insane and lock him up at the Baltimore State Hospital for the Criminally Insane. Thank the stars, they would never have to face Frederick again, but Will would rather keep his mate by his side.

Will promised to be there to "assist" the Ripper case whenever he could. Jack never noticed, or he failed to mention, that Will had a different attitude when it came to the Ripper killings. Because he was aware of who was the one behind the murders, Will inspected these bodies with an impressed grin, he kept well hidden, while his breath was taken away. Jack, Jimmy, Brian and Beverly were either oblivious or would rather not look into the situation.

Jack would leave forever with the disappointment of never finding the Ripper. Will would always make sure to keep it that way, although he had the answer the Head of Behavioral Sciences was dying for.

Right after Frederick's death everything seemed to fit in place. Of course the man was now considered missing and although it was odd, no one seemed to stay on the case for long. No one would ever find Fredericks body either - Hannibal made sure of that. No one close to either of them seemed to be too upset about the man's death. He never left a good impression on anyone he met due to his arrogance and he loved to weasel into everything whether it involved him or not.

Before Frederick decided to expose Will, Hannibal made it clear of his attraction towards the brunette. Will failed to hide his own desire to know more about Hannibal as well. Abigail was glad either way. The little girl liked Hannibal since he was a gentleman and treated her like she was his child. Hannibal was sincere about his care and love towards either of them, a trait Will and Abigail admired.

It was a delight that Will had yet to find a home when Abigail and he arrived in Baltimore. It would have been some work to cancel all finished paperwork and documents when they would just end up moving in with Hannibal.

Tomorrow, Will was going to head back to Virginia and bring the dogs from Wolf Trap. It worked out since Hannibal wanted to spend more time with Abigail. Will was over the moon when Hannibal told him that he would accept Abigail as his own daughter. Ever since then, Hannibal has proven his words to be true.

It was amusing to think that all seven of their dogs were going to be in the elegant home that belonged to Hannibal. Will smirked teasingly by just thinking about it.

"What has amused you?" Will's thoughts were interrupted when the alpha wendigo approached him from behind.

Whatever they brought was inside of Hannibal's home, so now they were arranging everything. Hannibal explained that his home held many guest rooms. The rooms closest to the one they shared would be where Abigail slept and the child they would have in the future. Will liked the idea of having a child fathered by Hannibal.

The alpha was always a step ahead of him. Of course, it would be the rooms closest to them. When it came to alpha wendigos, their main priority was to protect their mate and children. Hannibal was simply thinking of that when he brought up the other rooms.

"It's interesting to imagine housing seven dogs in this exquisite home of yours, plus one child." Will leaned back when he felt Hannibal encircle his arms around his waist. The feeling of being with your mate was indescribable.
