It was no surprise that this morning Will and Hannibal would find themselves both at the BAU. Recently, Jack had taken a liking to having Hannibal present when it came to trying to catch their latest psychopaths causing damage here and there. Hannibal did not mind. Jack would have assumed it was an exciting or educational thing for Hannibal, but he might doubt that now that he knew the two were a thing.
Will did not want to explain things to Jack since for one, it was none of his business, and two, he just never was the type to mix his personal and professional life. Then again, Hannibal did not making it obvious to Frederick who Will was more interested in romantically. He was glad Jack just left it as it was and was more focused on seeing how Hannibal's interview with Abel would go.
The omega nearly felt like hurling when he saw the corpse of Beth LeBeau. He remembered to repeat Abigail and Hannibal's name in his head like a mantra as he closed his eyes and imagined.
"The killer pulled Beth LeBeau's face like it was a mask, Jack." Will explained as he stood there in Jack's office. Hannibal was there too, sitting down listening to both men.
Jack was astonished by Will's words. He then eyed Hannibal. "Could this be a mental illness? Thinking someone's face to be a mask?"
"It's making me think of Cotard's syndrome. This condition causes people to hold a delusional belief that they are dead, figuratively or literally, do not exist, or have lost their blood or internal organs. In uncommon cases, it can include delusions of immortality."
"The killer might also be enduring Prosopagnosia, which is a cognitive disorder of face perception in which the ability to recognize familiar faces, including one's own face, is impaired, while other aspects of visual processing and intellectual functioning remain intact." Hannibal's words made Jack's mouth go dry.
Jack sighed heavily. "I'm assuming with this information, it does no help to narrow down who could have possibly done it."
"That's even if this killer was diagnosed. They could have not ever been diagnosed which leaves us again with nothing." Will said, placing a hand over the bridge of his nose. It seemed like a dead-end for this case.
Hannibal turned to look towards his omega. "This killer could have possibly known Miss LeBeau. If so, the killer would not have recognized Miss LeBeau's face as their ability to see a familiar face is afflicted." He smiled when he saw Will look back at him.
"That's true." Will agreed.
"I'll get information on Miss LeBeau. Maybe she had a close friend or something." Jack said, looking at Hannibal and then Will with a small smile.
This was definitely going to be an interesting day.

Port Haven Elementary.
He took in the sound of loud laughter and the sight of large smiles. The fact that he was surrounded by tiny little humans who were blind to the nastiness of the world made him a bit uneasy.
Thankfully, he just needed one child.
He knew exactly what she looked like, little Abigail Graham. The child was a carbon copy of Will. The midnight colored locks and the ocean blue irises that enthralled anyone nearby. One could drown in those eyes, Frederick could admit he had on the occasions he saw Will.
It was probably how Will got his victims. His job of helping out and bringing justice helped him enough. Why on earth would he be the Ripper when he was the one trying to hunt him down? Of course no one had found him! Obviously, Jack was still searching. Certainly Will has yet to find the Ripper.
