Percy's p.o.v.
The girl is on the ice, earbuds in her ears, the cord leading down to a pocket in the side of her simple black leggings. She wore a skin tight grey shirt and thin, moss green gloves.
She's wearing delicate white skates, and performing a figure skating routine. She jumps and twirls, skates forwards and backwards, and finishes with a move that started as a slow spin, then she gradually pulls her arms in, whipping around faster and faster as she does, so that eventually she has her arms tucked up against her chest, and was spinning so fast, that her body's a blur of black, grey, and blonde.
she sticks her foot out, abruptly ending the spin, and looks right at me.
Annabeth's p.o.v.
I finish my routine, only to find the capitan of the hockey team looking right at me. I skate over to him, and lean on the boards (walls of an ice rink, if you don't know) right in front of him.
"hi," he begins.
"What do you want?" I cut him off.
"Your number?" he asks. I can tell it's supposed to come off confident, but it sounds more like a question. 'Smooth,' I think.
"uh huh, and do you know my name?" I ask, in a half teasing, half exasperated tone.
"Well... I mean-"
"That's what I thought," I say, rolling my eyes at the antics of men. "Do you have a pen?"
"Um..." he says, patting around in his pockets, finally pulling a black Sharpie out. "Here," he says,handing it to me. I stand on my toe picks, leaning even further over the boards, and put my hand on the top of his his to steady it. I then proceed to write my name and number in big bold letters and numbers, on his forehead.
"Uh, thanks," he says, "but since I can't read stuff written on my forehead, will you tell me your name?"
"Annabeth," I say, smiling. "Annabeth Chase."
"Percy," he says quickly, "Percy Jackson."

Sorry for the super short chapter!! I'm super busy at the moment, but that isn't an excuse. Instead of updating only once a week, I'm gonna update whenever I can, but at least once a week, typically on Tuesday, since that is when I'm the least busy.
