Percy's p.o.v.

I'm glad Annabeth was wearing gloves, because my palms were sweaty. Stupid Percy, Stupid, I think to myself.  she is just some figure skater, Not Aphrodite. But now, if I imagined  the goddess, she would look like Annabeth. Deep tan, wavy blonde hair that reached her hips, and those eyes. Those beautiful storm grey eyes.

I walk to the bathroom and spend the next fifteen minuets until practice starts scrubbing the marker off my forehead (after putting Annabeth's number in my phone, of course). When my teammates start to arrive, I give up, leaving my forehead scraped raw, and the faint trace of marker on it. Jason looks at me funny, but doesn't say anything. My friends all play on the team, except Grover. He's my best buddy, and he has been since sixth grade, when we met at Yancy Academy, a boarding school for troubled kids (which I, by the way, got kicked out of. What a surprise).

The rest of my friends though, are all changing when I go into the locker room.

"Hey Perce!" Leo calls. he's five foot nothing, and sorta scrawny, but he's a good forward, since he's small, and can easily get around the other teams defense. The rest of my friends on the team consist of Travis and Conner Stoll, two prankster brothers who play defense, Nico di Angelo, a small, Italian, slightly emo kid who's a goalie (a surprisingly good one for his small size), Jason Grace, a tall blonde guy who can skate faster than anyone on the team, and Frank Zhang, a tall, burly, Asian boy, who looks scary, but in reality is a huge teddy bear,  and an amazing defense.

And then there's my enemy. Luke Castellen. He was my biggest competition for team captain, and is still sore because I got it and not him. His only friends that I know of are Ethan Nakamura, a kid with an eye patch and an extremely hardcore mom who isn't on the hockey team, and Ethan's girlfriend Kelli, an african american girl with a huge ego and eye teeth so pointy she looks like a vampire.

I finish changing, and lead my team onto the ice.

Annabeth's p.o.v.

What the heck?

That's my only thought after Percy left. I get off the ice, take off my skates and leave the arena. I hop into the passenger seat of the beat up pink pickup truck that was parked right outside the door. The truck belongs to my friend Piper.

"what's up?" She asks as I buckle my seat belt.

"Not much," I say as she puts the car in gear and drives out of the parking lot.

"If you're free this afternoon, I'm going to pick up the rest of the gang, and you could come over to my house," she suggests. Pipers dad is totally loaded, being the one and only, world famous actor, Tristan McLean, so when she says "house," she means, "Pretty much the biggest top floor penthouse in all of New York."

"Sure," I say. "You know Helen wouldn't care," I mutter quietly, so piper can't hear. Helen is my stepmom. My mom, Athena Chase, died when I was only a baby, and a few years later my dad, Fredrick Chase, married Helen, so technically Bobby and Matthew are only my half brothers, seeing as she is there mother. She's never physically abused me, or anything, but she has convinced my dad that I'm some kind of freak, so the best form of affection he ever shows me is the fact that he lets me live in his house, and eat his food.

Hazel is the first stop on our rounds to our friends houses. Hazel is a short african american girl with frizzy cinnamon colored hair, and gold eyes. She's younger than us, we're juniors, she's only a freshman, but she's peppy and kind, and basically a big ball of fluff. she always looks for the positives, and loves everyone equally. Although sometimes, she acts like she was born in nineteen forty.  She's as innocent as a baby bunny, and always gets confused at the abbreviations people used when they're texting, like "ttyl," or "lmao".

"Hi!" She says, jumping into the car. she's wearing a purple short sleeved shirt, and a pair of navy blue leggings, with a pearl necklace around her neck.

"Hey," Piper and I both say in unison. Piper has choppy brown hair, typically woven into a braid, with feathers twisted into it, and I have never been able to tell what color her eyes are, because they always seem to be changing.

Next we pick up Rachel Dare, a girl With frizzy red hair and an unimaginable amount of freckles, Reyna Ramirez-Arellano, An extremely hardcore girl who always wore her dark hair in a lose over the shoulder braid, Clarisse LaRue, a girl with stringy brown hair and a love of wrestling, and Katie Gardener, a peppy girl who spends more time in her garden than she does sleeping.

They all pile into the back of the truck, double buckling and sitting on laps, and in this fashion, we make our way across the city to piper's house.
