His warm fingers were caressing your cheeks and you hated yourself for longing for more, for more of his touch, for him to kiss you harder. He sighed softly, relieved; as you slowly started answering to him, your punches stopping and your hands resting on his chest; the sound of his deep breathing making your muscles relax. At that point, your head was spinning and your eyes were shut so hard, in hopes that you'd be transported to another reality where you wouldn't have to think about what would come after that kiss.

His kisses had the same effect on you they had before, slowly killing the fire inside of you that was urging you to stop; to slap him, to do anything other than kiss him. But as that voice inside your head got quiet, you felt your knees getting weaker and your heart pounding harder than ever.

You felt his lips part yours, caressing your bottom lip with his tongue and you whimpered, surprised; but still let him continue. But then, his hands left your cheeks and he stopped kissing you, separating himself from you just a few centimeters.

You were scared to open your eyes, but you could feel his gaze glued to you, his warm breath on your skin as you tried to bring yourself back from wherever the fuck he had just taken you.

"Do you want me to stop?" he whispered, as one of his arms held your waist.

Letting out a quiet sigh, you opened your eyes, looking up to him through your lashes. You noticed his dilated pupils and you wondered if yours were as well.

"You shouldn't have done that" you evaded his question like a champ, your hands hesitatingly leaving his chest and falling to your sides.

"I had to," he gave you a side smile. "You were being a little bitch." He provoked you, his arm still not leaving your waist.

You rolled your eyes, a little playful smile appearing on your lips.

"Is that a smile? To me?" He hummed, truly surprised.

"I-, No-, Just..." you chuckled, looking away from him and moving your head no. You looked to the ground and took a long, deep breath, forcing all your feelings out and completely losing your little smile. "Thank you for the food. But this- Whatever this was, can't happen again." You informed him, trying really hard to sound decided. It was decided! It had been for years: you would never go back to him.

Only then did you look up to him, his calm gaze making you impatient.

"Mhm," He hummed, seemingly wordless, still staring and his fucking arm was still holding you close to him. "I was an asshole, right?"

You raised an eyebrow in disbelief. "You're really asking me that?" you leered, taking his arm and untangling it from your waist. "It doesn't matter anymore." You shrugged, taking a step aside and away from him.

As he took a step towards you and opened his mouth to say God knows what, the front door opened, making you both flinch. It was the girl you shared the house with.

"Hey" she smiled awkwardly.

"Hey" Negan nodded towards her; eyebrows furrowed as he looked back to you. You looked at him and sighed, shaking your head and pressing your lips with a slight frown as you awkwardly looked at the ground in silence.

Your 'roomie' awkwardly made her way into the kitchen, but you knew she could still hear you, and you wouldn't risk it.

"Well, thank you for the food, Negan. You can go now." You managed to say after what seemed like years, pointing at the door with your body and still looking at the ground.
