CHAPTER 9

AT NAMJINTAE'S RESIDENCE

Namjoon groaned and rolled over his bed with a severe hangover.

"Hyung, Min Yoongi wants to book EATJIN FOR A DAYYYYY." he could practically hear Tae's yelling. Then he heard some muffled noises, probably chatting between themselves.

Oh shit, if he goes now he has to explain his last night's behavior. To save himself from the further embarrassment he pulled the covers over his head rolled himself into a cocoon. But hangover soup's smell wafted towards his nose, even over the sheets. He heard shuffling noises and his door opened. "Joon-ah, come and have your soup before it gets cold."

The door closed again and he left a big sigh of relief thinking that he would escape Jin if he acts like he is asleep. "Don't even try to act like you are asleep, now come before I whoop your ass." Right. He rolled over his bed and shouted into his pillow. Within a few minutes, he freshened up and went to have his soup. Thankfully it was still warm. With Jin and Tae getting ready to go to EATJIN he drank his hangover soup peacefully. He washed his dishes and was about to start his day too, unfortunately, Tae and Jin had other plans in their mind. Jin had actually gone to EATJIN to hang the CLOSED FOR TODAY sign. They were watching Joon and when they found out that he was purposefully hiding from them and is going into the closet of his dark thoughts that they had fought back for years. It was enraging them. Jin and Tae are quite calm when it comes to certain things, one of them is handling Joon's insecurities. Tae was hiding in his room till Joon had his soup and breakfast. He came as quiet as a cat and pulled two chairs in the dining area, one for him and another for his hyung. The sound of the chair scratching the floor made Joon jump out and see that in fact, his friend hadn't left him for work yet. He gulped. Joon is not afraid of his friends, it is actually quite the opposite. He is afraid of himself. He doesn't trust himself and had worked a lot on it for all these years and yet he is struggling to do so. His friends who made him be who he is, are the ones who had always overlooked and helped him through all his flaws. As he remembers his past, pain flashes through his eyes. Suddenly without any warning, he is pushed into a panic attack by his own thoughts. Betrayal. That was the fuel added to his already burning fire of insecurities.

Namjoon, after gathering his courage, runs to find the boy who has been pursuing him. He came to know where the boy he was searching was, from all the squealing coming from the boys' locker. The squealing was quite normal as the guy who pursued Joon was the most famous and sought-after guy. He pushes himself in between the crowd to accept the said boy but he was welcomed by a shell-shocking scene, the guy whose confession and advances he was going to accept was kissing or rather say making out with another person. Joon felt betrayed and he was tongue-tied, couldn't even show jealousy as he was yet to be in a relationship with the said guy. Joon felt like "it" happened, he knew no one would even want him, and when someone said he will court him Joon's happiness knew no bounds, yet while being on cloud nine he defied the boy's advances as he was scared. Scared that he would leave Joon when learns the *truth* when he knows that Joon isn't someone who he portrays himself to be.

Joon rushed away from the crowd and ran. Ran till his breathing gave out. He didn't even know that his legs has taken him to his home. Not a home where he finds comfort from parental love, rather a home where two beautiful angels welcome him with open hands and treat him as a person. He banged the door multiple times( Not those types of banged, you naughty). Tae opened the door and Joon engulfed him into a big hug and bawled his eyes out.

"He promised he would wait till I accept him, but, but he kissed another today." Joon cried without specifying who but with their level of understanding he knew very well. Tae gave a quick text message to Jin that Joon needs help. From that day on those two nursed Joon's broken heart with all the love and affection they could give.

"Joon, Joon, listen to my voice. Breathe in breathe out, Breathe in breathe out. Atta boy." Joon came to the consciousness of his surrounding as he followed Tae's voice.

When this was happening in the house, Jin was hurrying his way back since he received an SOS message from Tae regarding Joon. Unfortunately, he was stopped by two good-looking guys, oddly familiar yet unfamiliar. They inquired why the shop was closed and till when it will be, Jin politely replied it was for personal reasons and the duration is not fixed as one of the co-owner was sick. They asked him when they could meet Kim Namjoon again. When Jin told them it was NamJoon who was sick and they are taking care of him, also that he should get back now due to an emergency. The guys were quite sad and even offered Jin to take him to where ever he was heading. Being the polite owner of the cafe he refused them and told them to visit again when they open it. The guys politely bowed to him and left when suddenly BamBam rushed to him.

" Hey what did Mr. Jeon say? I swear to god, how come he didn't believe me and come to see whether the store is closed by himself?" He ranted. Jin was quite surprised for two reasons. Why would a CEO rather come by himself and check whether the cafe was open or not rather than believe his secretary and why in the hell is he looking for Namjoon when he is already married, if what he had heard from the company's employees especially BamBam were true, then it is a happy marriage too. He excused himself as he remembered the emergency and hurried to aide Joon. He also mentally made a note to make sure he puts a boundary over this particular CEO's advancement towards Joon if it ever happens.
