Author Note: Music played a massive role in helping me write this, so I decided to do something a little different and add a "soundtrack" for this chapter (but it's not required). The standard vision boards I used as inspiration are still included. But the addition of music should add a little something extra for the imagination. "You'll see." That's what Niko told me, and he has never been more right. When I turn the corner and see her, the universe pauses. Lights start flashing, and the air is full of whispers from the crowd, but all I see is her. The daydreams I've had of our date don't do her justice as she stands at the bottom of the stairs in her suit. Her long, curly hair is braided into four french braids, and she is fulfilling all of my fantasies at this moment.

When I finally make it to the staircase center, Niko bangs his staff on the ground three times. I can tell he is enjoying this a little too much, but it makes me smile. The room goes silent, "Presenting Ms. Infinity Alexander" His voice carries to the far corners as everyone stares at me.

As I make my descent, I don't know what is making me more nervous, The thought of falling in front of all these people or the way she looks at me. I'm the picture of elegance on the outside, but inside I'm a mess, and when Sin looks at me, it's as if she can read my mind because she starts making her way towards me.
We meet each other on the second landing, Sin bows, and I curtsy. "You look— There are stars in the universe that are jealous of your beauty right now." I start to feel the rush of heat from the top of my head to the tips of my feet as she tells me this. "Thank you, that's an incredible compliment coming from someone who looks like they stepped off the cover of GQ magazine," I reply. She smiles and stands a little straighter, she may not know what GQ is, but she understands it's a big deal. I lean in, "Your tie is a little off; let me fix it." I whisper, and as I start to fix her tie, the flashes and whispers start again. Sin offers me her arm, and I happily accept the assistance. I can walk just fine on my own, but something about all of this is a little unsettling, and she acts as my rock right now, forever keeping me grounded.
When we reach the bottom landing, we pause for photos, and reporters ask us interview questions.
Reporter 1: "Commander Sinumbra, will you propose tonight?"
Sin: "No, that's a little premature. It's only our first date."
Reporter 2: "Ms. Alexander, The fleet boards are dying to know are you Team Tempest or Sin for the win?"
I laugh at the question but then look at Sin, "I'm exactly where I want to be." the room erupts into a mix of sighs and awwww. Sin leans over and whispers in my ear, "Smooth, very smooth." then she holds up her hands. "Everyone, thank you for joining us on what I hope will be the first of many dates; We do have dinner reservations, so we need to get going." Sin offers me her arm again, and as we start heading towards the hallway, everyone follows behind us, just close enough to get good footage but far enough away that we still have some privacy.
