When Niko returns, I've transformed the living room into a sheet fort. I tell him how to get to Disney+ on the internet, and he sets up a holographic projector for us. I don't want to crush his soul immediately, so I start him off with something easy... Hercules. By the time the movie is over, Niko has made a Hercules t-shirt, hat, and full body pillow, with which he is having a full-blown make-out session. I clear my throat, glad to know were family Niko. He looks at me like he is lost. "Family? But we're not related." no, no, no, it's just an expression. In the LGBTQ+ community on earth, we refer to each other as family.
On earth, you would be gay, and I am a lesbian, making us... family. "I've been meaning to ask you about this since we were in the lab; how are you a lesbian if you prefer women who have a penis. Wouldn't that make you straight or Bisexual at the very least?" He's holding his device, waiting to take notes on my answer.
Lesbian, Straight, and Gay, at the end of the day, are just labels created by society. I'll put it like this if some all-powerful being came to me and said, "you can have the woman of your dreams or the man of your dreams, but you can't have both, you will be with them for the rest of eternity, and you can't change your mind after the fact. Now choose."
I know without any hesitation that I would choose the woman, not because of what's between her legs but because women are just different. Men pride themselves on only thinking and making judgments based on logic. But Women approach life with a more balanced view. They can operate based on emotion, reason, or both. Women aren't afraid to feel things and express themselves, and in my family, our women are celebrated. They are our matriarchs, our healers, our leaders; without them, none of us would exist. Being a woman is the ultimate superpower, and being with a woman makes every day feel like the greatest gift.
What's between her legs doesn't change that, and your sexual organs don't make you who you are as a person.
Some lesbians love being penetrated; that's why we have dildos, some hate it, and that's okay too. It's just a preference. It's no different than liking to be handcuffed or choked during sex. Although, subconsciously, I guess I like the idea of the impossible, having intercourse with a woman and being impregnated. That's why Sin affects me the way she does. After realizing she may have said too much, Infinity blushes, but Niko is so busy taking notes that her words don't even register. "This is great," Niko says. "The head scientist is going to love this data. it's the most helpful piece of information we've received so far".
Once he's completed his notes, I point out that he never finished telling me about how Sin and Tempest know each other. "Ah yes, So when new recruits are born, they are placed with a seasoned warrior to be raised and trained. Sin and Tempest were placed with Fleet Captains from the same fleet, The 332nd warship fleet. This should have fostered camaraderie and a team bond between them but, the fleet captain Tempest was placed with was extremely hard on her. He made everything about competition and when she lost she was severely punished. Sin was placed with a warrior who treated her like his own. He was kind but firm; He instilled good morals and discipline in her and trained her with a gentle hand until she was skilled enough to handle more intense training. With his training, guidance, and Sins' natural talent, she rose in the ranks faster than any warrior our people have ever seen. But, Tempest was never far behind her."
"If Sin has it, Tempest wants it, and she'll stop at nothing to get it. Because of this its created a bitter rivalry between them that everyone across all of the fleets knows about. She already has her sights set on you, so it's too late to turn back, but be careful. I don't believe her intentions are pure." His warning doesn't fall on deaf ears.
I take what I initially said back; she's not Simba, She's Scar. And with that, Niko, I think you're ready to see the masterpiece that is "The Lion King." Niko has all the typical reactions of someone watching TLK for the first time; he's rooting for young Simba as he goes on his crazy adventures through the pride lands. He cries at Mufasa's death and celebrates when scar gets eaten by hyenas. Niko is energized and ready for the next one when the movie is finally over, but I'm exhausted. "So what's next?" he stares at me excitedly. What's next is I'm going sleep, but if you want to keep going, I suggest TLK 2, Bambi 1 and 2, beauty and the beast, and just for a change of pace, Aladdin, James and the giant peach, Mulan, Moana, and one of my all-time favorites the Book of life.
