9. He leaves

The day after Q stayed the night, he had to spend his last 3 days packing up and saying goodbye to his family. Today he is coming over to say his final goodbye to you before going to Brooklyn for University. He you will still see him a lot, you're not too far from Brooklyn, but you're not in a relationship and there's no commitments between the two of you, anything can happen. 

'Hey Q' you say as you open the front door to see a smiling Q

'Hey, just thought i'd stop by quickly before leaving. My mum and dad are in the car' you lean around and give an awkward wave to his parents who are smiling at your through the car window.

'okay, can you come in for 5 minutes?' you ask. He nods and steps inside closing the door behind him. You give him a smile, trying your best to hold back any tears. you wanted something with Q, you have so many feelings for him but its too late now to start anything together.

'you made this the best summer I could've had y/n, im really going to miss you' he says looking down at you 

'im gunna miss you too, I hope you have fun at uni, we will see each other soon hopefully' you shed a tear

'don't cry, im only 2 hours away it will be fine of course we will still see each other' he smiles and places a hand on your cheek. You lean forward giving him a tight hug, you never want to let go. He kisses your head while wrapping his arms around you making you feel safe.

'you'll be fine' he whispers

'I know' you reply.

You both step back from the hug and smile at each other before Q turns around and leaves. As he closes the door behind him your smile drops and your heart aches. You should've told him your feelings and that you want something with him, but the feeling of holding him back isnt worth it.

*Hey Sal, feel like coming over?* You send

*sure give me 5 minutes* he replies

You sit in the living room waiting for Sal to show up. You see him walk towards the door from the window. You stand up and head to the door to let him in.

'Hey, let me guess, Q just said bye' He says. You nod as a response and let him come inside. You both sit on the sofa in the living room.

'Sal I have so many feelings for him, he's literally everything I want and so much more, he's my soul mate I know it, but I cant hold him back, Uni is so important to him' you frown

'y/n you should have told him, he feels the same I promise you he does he said it a million times while saying bye to us today. He cares about you so much'

'well why didnt he say anything to me then?' you ask

'because he knew he would be far from you, he didnt want to start something knowing it will hurt you with him being so far all the time' he replies

'guess im just going to have to get over him' a tear rolls down your cheek

'no you dont, you will still see him y/n he will come home a lot probably'

'he wont, he says he will but he wont Sal'

Sal shuffles closer to you and puts an arm around you, pulling you towards him for a hug. He knows everything you're saying is true but doesn't want to admit it and doesn't want to hurt you.

'Im going to miss him so much, he helped me with a lot of stuff that none of you know about, not even Ethan'

Sal turns and look at you while raising an eyebrow

'Like what...'

'like Ash, Q found out I was talking to him a lot and..'

'Wait wait, weird older pedo Ash' he says in disgust

'Yes him but I didnt know that did i, I was talking to him, Q warned me and i carried on and then he spiked me at his party and dragged me up the stairs to his room but Q saw, came up and stopped it from happening, he let me stay at his for that night so no one would find out, I would have panic attacks going to school after and Q would stay with me here until I felt ready to leave and we would walk together, he's been everything I needed and more'

'im so sorry that happened to you, you should've told us we all would have helped you out'

'I couldn't, if Ethan found out he would've killed me, Q was enough help' you say

'you gotta tell him how you feel y/n you really need to, I gotta go but if you tell him let me know how it goes and I will tell you anything from his end, you two need to be together'

You and Sal have a long hug before showing him out the door. You close it and suddenly feel lonely, Murr Joe and Sal all leave tomorrow, leaving you alone for 2 days before your mum returns.

You look at your phone and see a Text from Q

*I already miss you, im not far im always here if you need me x :)*

You smile at your phone and think about the possibility of the two of you. 

'ill give it a week, see how it is, then ill think about it' You say to yourself. A week from now, lets see how it goes.
