This was a big weekend among our group of friends. Javi's fight was Friday. He used what little pull he had with the promoters to arrange for Joe to sing the National Anthem before his fight. Then Tori had a 20 minute set on Saturday night at The Ice House in Pasadena.

We were walking through the parking lot when I saw the promo picture for Javi's fight on the arena's marquee.
"Aye check ya boy out." I pointed at the sign.
"Come on, come on, let's take a picture" La waved her hands for us to gather around.
Once we took the picture we proceeded to the arena entrance. La was too busy typing on her phone to pay attention to where she was walking, so I put my hand on the small of her back to guide her. When she put her phone away, mine along with everybody else's dinged. She moved closer, wrapping her arm around my waist. I didn't mind at all. It was her turn to guide me as I checked my phone. She'd sent Jav the picture we just took with a message attached.
