Stepping out of the shower I wrap a towel around myself and pick up my phone. It's been buzzing non-stop for the last few minutes. It was the group chat I had with my best friends. We were supposed to be Netflix and chilling all day at Javi's apartment.

We've known each other for years. Chris and Tori are twins and we've been friends since kindergarten. My cousin Dani moved out here from Texas when we were in 7th grade. We met Joe and Javi our freshman year of high school. Dani and Joe have been together ever since.

After getting dressed, I grab my keys and phone and walk the short distance to Javi's apartment. We live in the same apartment complex.
Javi opened the door greeting me with a huge smile. I walked in and got comfy. Joe and Dani were cuddled up on the couch while I stretched out on the chaise. Javi sat to my left. We always used Jav's place for movie nights. He had the biggest tv with surround sound, and the best couch.
