Everyone gathered at my house for our pre training camp kick back. Javi had another fight in 3 months. It was just me and the guys. The girls went to get food claiming we alway mess up their order. We were sitting at the bar in the kitchen.
"You good uce? Joe's voice snapping me back to reality.
"When did you know you wanted to marry Dani?
"Shit, sophomore year in high school." He chuckled. Why?"
I pulled a ring box from my pocket, setting it on the counter in front of us.
"Yo!"
"Wow." They exclaim at the same time.
"I mean it's been 6 months, I know normally that's not that long. But I mean I've known her my whole life. We waited so long to get together and- I love that big head girl man I don't want to wait any longer.
"So don't uce, get yo girl."
"Yeah? I questioned skeptically.
"Wow, I'm a proud father right now, look at my sons." Javi said, wiping a non-existent tear. He squeezed my shoulder, rocking me back and forth.
"Shut up nigga" I smacked his hand off my shoulder. "But forreal I'm gonna ask her. I already talked to Mama Chelle and my parents."
"In all seriousness bro I'm happy for you, you guys make each other happy. Not that you need it but yall have my blessing. Javi spoke sincerely.
"Yep, same uce." Joe said. I nod, putting the ring back in my pocket. Good thing I did because I could hear the front door open and close.
"We're back!" Dani shouted, the girls came around the corner into the kitchen. She immediately found Joe and rested between his legs against the bar stool.
"Where y'all end up going?
"Manny's." All three answered in unison. As LaLa began to set the foil trays out.
"Okay Destiny's Child"

The next morning I woke up before LaLa. I sat up against the head board taking a minute to just admire her natural beauty. Today was the day that would change our lives forever.
