The three of us walked alongside each other through the crowd of Equalists, keeping our heads down so they wouldn't point us out.

They were concerned enough with their leader being exposed as a fraud. They weren't worried about the Avatar as much anymore.

Once we made it out, we stood next to each other, wondering what to do next or where to go.

We didn't know where Tenzin or Beifong were or if Bolin and Asami were even okay.

I couldn't help but wonder if they were being held in a prison cell or if they were stuck somewhere with no bending to help them.

That's when the realization hit me like a pile of bricks.

I stopped walking with Korra and Mako and looked down at my swollen and dirty hands.

The power I've had since I was a little girl, the power I was so proud to have and control was gone forever just like that.

I couldn't help but feel ordinary. Being a waterbender was important to me. It was a part of my culture and one of the last things I had left of my birth family.

It was ripped away just as easily as taking a toy from a child's hand.

Now that it's gone, I feel like literally anyone else. The one thing that made me special was gone...

"Korra!" Tenzin's voice rang. I looked up and saw him and his family running toward us.

The kids yelled happily and jumped all over Mako and Korra.

"Oh thank goodness you all are okay!" Pema said, holding her newborn baby in her arms.

"Pema!" I exclaimed. I hugged her gratefully, trying to carefully not hurt the baby.

I looked down at the smiling child, reaching its tiny hands up.

"Oh wow. Congratulations, Pema! But when were you able to give birth?" I started.

"A few weeks ago. When all this mess went down. You can imagine the panic it put everyone in. But thankfully, I was able to give birth to a healthy and happy little boy." She said.

I sighed. I pat the baby's head gently and it giggled and smiled.

"His name is Rohan. Would you like to hold him?" She asked.
